Judging by the fact that you said 'hi-res' textures, Im going to assume that its not a small image. Are you sure its set to 32bit colour? Perhaps you could post a screenshot?

That must be an old pic of Scawen. Since then, he has not left his computer. He has been working on LFS furiously. No haircut, no shaving, no washing. He sits on a toilet in front of the computer with a fridge next to him. No need to move! And hes clever enough to create LFS so hes clever enough to get a lovely wife who keeps the fridge full!!! You could cheat...buy a cheap mouse and a PS2 replica gamepad (recommend logitech dual action usb) and take them both apart. Buy a project box from an electronics store and just whack both PCB's in the box, cut appropriate holes, add switches/buttons and voila! The ugliest mouse you ever saw! lol

I take it you have analog smoothing set to 0? Also, this is a long shot but try running the game in windowed mode instead of fullscreen, or a lower resolution. I had that problem on my old computer (well...more of a box with some LEDs really). If that dont seem to work, check in control panel see if it lags in there. If it doesnt, run LFS, go onto track and minimize (without pause) then go into control panel and see if it lags. It might be that LFS takes up too much CPU power which means less power to interpret inputs?

I had the demo version from back in S1 and I was grateful the devs gave us what they did. Ok there is much less cars than in the full version but you get pretty decent graphics, superb physics simulation, online play (which the devs have to fund btw), 3 different cars (front wheel drive, rear wheel drive, turbo rear wheel drive) and 2 different kinds of track (GP and rallyX). I can think of no other game which gives you all this for free, to use for as long as you like.

Actually I can. Valve released the game 'Race' with a few cars and a couple of tracks for free for 2 days...and i didnt like the game much so technically i could play it for as long as i liked...about 15 mins....then by sheer coincidence i closed and played LFS

I get a problem with edited sounds. When starting LFS, it says the sample rate is not supported. Ive tried like 5 different sample rates and I dunno what is supported!

Is it in the recycle bin? Usually morons who delete other peoples stuff forget it goes there...well they do at college. if not, drop us a pm and ill upload the dds folder.

Ive had mine a couple of months i think now. Anyways like I said, have a look in either the Logitech Profiler or in the Game Controllers thing in control panel. If it doesn't reach full in those, its a problem with the pedals themselves and you could either request a new set from http://www.logitech.com or buy some new pots (theyre not that expensive) from a hardware store. =D

Yes racer hero, im a wrecker because on T1 T2 and T3, i held a line and you tried to drive through me I see how that works...yeah...anywho, it dont bother me if im in or not, its just a game.

If you go in control panel > game controllers > Logitech Driving Force Pro, does the gas pedal meter go to full when u fully press the pedal? if so, its a lfs issue (highly doubt it), if not then its either a driver issue (reinstall the drivers maybe?) or a hardware issue (more likely, if ur still in warranty then get a replacement, otherwise u could try taking the pedals apart and replacing the pots(potentiometers)). Or maybe youre too weak and not pressing the pedal hard enough anymore! Or there could be a stray cable/wire thats crept under the gas pedal stopping it go all the way down (i have that problem a lot with my guitar effects pedal).

and thats me out of ideas!

Anywho nice skin! I agree with Tweaker, the MOMO logo's in the 2nd picture i find are a tad difficult to read. Its obvious they say momo but theres nothing wrong with simple white! hehe

I think you can, i used a Xbox gamepad for a while and IIRC rumble worked. In controller settings theres force feedback somewhere at the bottom, if it doesnt work, try selecting a different ff device (if its currently '1', set it to '2' and vica versa)

If you go into the pits (by the escape menu or shift+s) you cannot save a replay. Check in your options, make sure replays are enabled.

Just google for some shifters. Any stand-alone shifter should be compatible with any wheel. (IE the ActLabs shifter will be, the Logitech G25 shifter won't work unless you have the full Logitech G25 wheel, pedals and shifter). If you're the DIY type, you can build your own if you take apart an old gamepad or something!

Ebay is quite good for DFP's and MOMOs. I bought my DFP from there for £61 including postage. Erm not sure about the wheel diameter of a MOMO but a DFP is 25cm, give or take 1 or 2 mm. (I dont have a ruler with me but I have a 25cm iron bar =P)

You couldnt set a track in milton keynes, everyone would be confused by the one-way systems, and a 1 mile lap would take about an hour coz of the traffic!

Tracks have licenses as well as cars, introducing real tracks to LFS will cost money. Lots of it I would imagine. We have seen the arrival of the BMW Sauber and the Raceabout, maybe someday more real life cars/tracks will be added, who knows?

But i need a clock because I play LFS all the time (including right up to before i leave for work) so I gotta know what the time is so I dont get fired

I'm going to use a real clock (theres no point in writing a clock in python and then using a usb PCB to control some servos just for a clock lol).

For digital I would just rip apart a small LED clock, for analog, a small alarm clock or something.

Im not sure about where to post this but, I'm thinking about building a set of dials (which would use outgauge to work) and I'm trying to decide:

1. If the clock should be analog or digital
2. If I should bother with the clock


The clock wouldn't use outgauge (mainly because theres no point, I can just use my systems time like LFS does anyway) but would a digital clock look better or worse than an analog one?

Im sure theres a program on this forum that makes the headlights flash. If not, I can knock one up quick. Seeing as the cops will normally be behind you (unless youre chasing them illepall) you will only see the front lights anyway

EDIT: Its flipping hard! lol. The part at the front where the front and the top textures meet is all strange, getting the SHOEI logo to line up is impossible :P

So if Q is the only unmodded version of LFS, U must be modified. Yet you still post your replays which dont work for anyone else because they dont have the mods that you use.

Do us all a favour, play LFS properly. Its much better.
