For approval it needs less detailed LOD2 - around ~1000 tris, otherwise, amazing mod! Thumbs up

Yes, it was exactly this video that made me think about LFS, but as far as I understand LFS uses shaders (shader-based APIs for rendering?) and not fixed-function pipeline and thats one of the biggest issues with RTX Remix.

Any updates on this?

I tried, but couldn't make it to work with the latest version of LFS - it doesn't even start.

There are no shortcuts for all vehicles, it only works for mods which are made with openable parts (again, not all).
Usually people use the extra lights switch - press T and type "/light extra toggle" (without the ").

For approval - can you fix the skin mappings for LOD2 and LOD3?

Can you fix the hole in the LOD2 (shadow)?

Can you also make a proper (less detailed LOD2 - around 1000 tris), so it can be approved?

Hi, can you fix the skin mapping issues (flipped LOD3), so the mod can be approved?

I'm stuck at 75 Hz for a while due to various reasons, so I was looking for a way to have smooth gameplay at 75 Hz.
And just for cruising, the added latency is not a big problem to me.
For racing (which I almost never do) - of course it's best to have the fps unlocked or capped at 200-250 fps with vsync off.

I'm having a hard time recording the LosslessScaling (wanted to make a comparison for 75 fps as well), last night somehow I managed to do it, but today all I get is black screen when trying to capture the smoothed out gameplay. Uhmm

EDIT: This tutorial actually did the trick, I guess I have done the same thing by accident last night. Big grin

Here is the comparison for 75 Hz/fps captured at 75 fps and must be viewed at 75 Hz:
Videos must be downloaded, because YouTube doesn't support 75 fps.

1st video is captured without Lossless Scaling:

2nd video is captured with Lossless Scaling:

I have uploaded two videos captured at 60 fps and must be viewed at 60 Hz for comparison:

I have RTX 4060 and the Smooth Motion doesn't work with LFS, it only works with DX11, DX12 and Vulkan APIs.

The other thing is Lossless Scaling also supports adaptive frame generation, which is the key feature for LFS and 60 Hz / 75 Hz, not only fixed multiplier 2X / 4X etc.

Nvidia Smooth Motion doesn't support adaptive framegen and there are many compatibility issues, I only managed to get it working with BeamNG.drive (37 fps -> 74 fps). On the plus side the latency is a bit lower than LS.

I don't know much about the AMD Fluid Motion though, but I'm guessing it has similar limitations.

Smooth Motion (Lossless Scaling) - 60 / 75 Hz | 120 / 144 Hz Stuttering fix

Since LFS engine runs at 100 Hz and if your screen is set to any other refresh rate than 50/100/150/200 Hz you will encounter some micro stuttering even with vsync on.

This will be fixed in the upcoming big LFS update, but by that time Lossless Scaling can help smoothing things out at the expense of some latency and some almost invisible artifacts.

Is short LS can fix the vsync by generating the proper frames to fill the gaps. Big grin

Lossless Scaling is a paid program available on Steam.

An example setup for 75 Hz and possibly 90 Hz:

LFS options:
1. Run LFS at borderless window mode (F11)
2. Set the vertical sync to [no]
3. Limit in-game frame rate to < 50 fps > (if you have 120+ Hz monitor, limit it to 100 fps)

Lossless Scaling options:
Frame Generation:
Type: LSFG 3.1
Mode: Adaptive
Target: 75 (75 = 75 Hz) set to your refresh rate - if it's above 100 Hz, limit the LFS fps to 100 fps and put in the target for example 120 (120 Hz), for 90 Hz - the target should be 90.

Capture API: DXGI
Queue target: 1

Scaling set to Off.

Rendering:
Sync mode: Default
Max frame latency: 1
Draw FPS: On

And then press the blue Scale button and switch to LFS or you can set a hotkey in the settings (I use F4).
If everything is set correctly, in-game you should see the "50 / 75" at the left top corner and the motion... should be smooth. Thumbs up

Tomorrow I can add some comparison videos / gifs. Smile

Well, that's unfortunate, given the fact it's a paid model. Frown

The cup variant is now finished - the powertrain, aero, mass, suspension, setups and sound has been updated to more closely match the BeamNG mod:
Engine: 2.3 litre flat 4
Power: 193 bhp /243 Nm
Weight: 1147 kg;

Thanks again, martin18! Smile

This one could be approved as well.
It's only missing skinnable LOD3 and brake calipers.

I think this has a potential to be approved.
It needs better LOD2, brake calipers, vehicle type should be van.
Interior door handles area could be improved.

I'm wondering what happened with this project, even though I know the answer. Time. Big grin

By adjusting the LOD3, I meant just to adjust the cutout (attached snapshots) - it looks cleaner.
But, yeah, I also get your point.

LOD3 skin mapping needs to be adjusted.
Otherwise look pretty much good for approval. Thumbs up

EDIT: The headlights doesn't work, only the red l_extra lights are working, is that intentional?

This mod looks promising, can you add LOD3 skin mapping as well at some point? Thanks! Big grin

Also the left side of the LOD2 skin mapping is flipped.

Once these two things are fixed, the mod will be approved.
