That's what I see, and how are my filters set. I sorted it by name, and scrolled to surroundings of servers starting with letter "T"... http://imgur.com/a/AleOn
As subject describes - i've created dedicated server that is visible in LFS World servers browser, but in game it's not available on servers list.
I can easily connect by it's name Test_Phase_69 with option "Join Specific Host".
Like I wrote - it's visible in LFSWorld's server listing, but not visible in game itself.
About config, I will post it when I'll return from work, so about in 5 hours... :-/
I'd like to ask what can be the reason that my DCON server, is not visible in in-game server browser?
Ports forwarded are 63392, ICMP (ping echo), 29339 and even 29999, and still it's not visible there, while in LFS World it exists.
Rather "revert" button. It would reverse changes to previous visit in garage. Good suggestion, but possiblity to store best setups expands it's functionality, because makes it possible to analize them, deduct neccessary changes and act accordingly to conclusions.
Finally I've understood what is Traxxion idea. So You suggest that save should be done for laps which have all split times better, because it's potentially possible that loosing on one split and gaining on another will give better lap time, while it can be just effect of slip stream usage, that falsify real value of setup. I agree absolutelly, this is propper way of setup judgement.
Hmmm... It's still subject out of my imagination. Perhaps I am just too schematic racer to be familiar with unstable setups.
Besides... Don't You think guys, that such unstable setup can be usefull for people that can achieve their objectives - qualification for pole position, or winning the game? So personally I don't think that at this stage it's important to decide about judgement method of setups usefullness.
Oh, and I can imagine, that such a program could let user decide by parametrisation, what method is preffered.
I've tried to do it by myself, but my knowledge of modern programming languages calls for actualisation.
My idea is that almost all LFS racers sometimes are in situation that they're work out some good setup, and after tweaking it, they find themself in the place where it would be better to return setting to previous one but unfortunatelly it is not possible to revert all changes.
My question/suggestion is to prepare program that would check if current lap is the best done to date, and if it's true, this program would store current setup automatically with filename containing short name of track including configuration index (BL2, AS5, WE1 etc) as well, as time recorded using this specific setup. According to my knowledge about other programs using Insim data (LFSLapper, Cruise mods, LFSRelax etc) preparation of such program wouldn't be such a big task for programmers having already some achievments in our not-so-small community.
Is there anybody interrested in such "project"?
I can see, that PB.TXT file it's still not correctly managed by program. After quick debug, I've discovered, that walkaround is to name file differently (I've tried "abc.def" filename without "./" at beginning) and the file must contain at beginning string "USERNAME". That makes program to recreate this file and content is changed to "USERNAME 01". I can't say if LFS data is properly stored to file, since I am not at home right now, so please, somebody else let us know after tests.
EDIT:
Correction of "./" in configuration file to ".\" makes it possible to use file PB.txt as well. I've get idea about slashes at the moment of sending this post previously. :-)
EDIT:
After tests occured, that no data was stored in file. :-/
As I told in my first post, what You all suggest is not so easy to do for me, as current volume of my LFS game direcory is over 900 megabytes high. You can bet it, that easier would be to transfer main XFG car's files instead of all files from old to new instance. Besides, I am affraid that reason is somewhere in config files - skin or setup choosen for that car and then deleted from disk, or something like this. I need knowledge, instead of "common wisdom" with this issue...
EDIT:
Heh... I think I found it. It's all about CFG.TXT file. I've copied everything differentially (only non existing files) to clean instance of LFS, and things was ok. XFG was choosen, I was able to drive it. Then decided to copy CFG.TXT as well, and effect was CTD...
Now I've only to compare brand new file with messy one, and try to find what can be the reason.
UPDATE:
Things goes curious... I have changed in CFG.TXT entry that keep recently selected car to "Selected Car XF GTI" and deleted name from entry "Setup name", and game works well until I decide to get in garage. Then effect is the same as in the case that having choosen other car, I'll get into cars selection screen (still no CTD) and then click on picture of XF GTI, what cause game to crash... I wonder how deep is this rabbit hole...
Finally decided to leave brand new CFG.TXT file and redo configuration again. And it works.
I'd like to ask, what files should be replaced to repair car XFG. Now, when I select this car, LFS immediatelly crashes to desktop with critical error. I would avoid reinstallation of LFS, while I've many addons, skins, and such stuff installed in current instance of game.
I'd like to suggest, that it would be extremally helpfull, if setting "Controle wheel turns" from Steering section in pit stop, would be synchronised with setting of limiters for G25 steering wheel. Now it requires to switch to Logitech profiler to set limits for steering wheel, so car settings tunning is significantly unfriendly.
