Just start up the program then start LFS, go to options -> controllers -> and change gear up and gear down buttons with the move of joystick you want to use. You also will have to start the program before starting LFS or it wont work.

TBH I played with it a bit and vent back to use paddles

Rotary throttle
Rudder (including motion lock)
USB or 15-pin game port connection
is this good for a H shifter?
Why is FF so inportant???
