Working on getting my promotions out of rookie this month. Already won me a few races. It's great. Very clean racing too. I thought LFS had great netcode, but this is that tiny bit better.

I still love LFS's teaching tools. The suspension readouts, tire deformation, force views, racing line, etc.

The fact that ALL of that is taken out (especailly the line) evens up iRacings playing field and allows players to be more human (less race by numbers) and spend the time learning the car and the track much like in real life.

When I want to just drive for driving sake and maybe casually race with other people, I'll come to LFS for a few drift laps, or race laps, or when I just want to play with a road car. No one does road cars like LFS.

But then, no one does serious racing like iRacing. I don't know what kind of matchmaking witchcraft is going on, but I've had really close racing in iRacing. In LFS I'm always midpack without a single car near me. Mind you, I'm still in fixed setup races. Which do wonders for competitiveness. I can't wait for fixed setups in LFS.

this, its definitely worth a try if you are into serious racing without people ruining races by purposely crashing others.

I bought 3 months worth, this is my second week. I dont think I'm coming back, iracing is great, everyone(almost) races clean and avoids wrecks as much as possible. The tracks and cars look great thanks to the laser scanning. I highly recommend it.

I've seen Gills' workshop, and used his stuff before. But I enjoy making my own engine sounds. I'm just wanting to make a loapy camshaft sound when the car is at idle.

Is the off power in the Shift+A menu changeable? It has a load icon next to it, but it seems no matter how short I make the sound clip, it says "sample rate is not supported".

Any help is appreciated.

Yeah I need to figure out why it started pulling right on the launch. It just started it after I changed the redline, so maybe I'll mess with that. I ran a 7.91 a little before that. If i make a significantly faster pass, I'll upload it.

7.98 @ about 201 mph

Still have some things to line out. That mph should be good for somewhere around 6.9X

And I try not to make the car look ridiculous while shooting for a fast time.

All in all, it is pretty much completely adjustable. I seriously doubt you will regret your upgrade. I still love my G25 after almost 2 years and cant imagine playing without force feedback.

One more question, is there anything I can do about the OOS error I get when I try to watch a replay?

I get it to say that I have 57* lock in the pits, but when I go to the track, my wheels are definitely not turning 57*. This is soooo frustrating. Any help is appreciated.


EDIT: Nevermind, I got it working. Be sure to hit "Set" everytime you go out on the track.

I kept getting JOOS - ENG, but I think using my tweak was the problem because it would only do it while the tweak was on.

What should I do to fix this?
It will let me join a race, but it kicks me out again just a few seconds after i get in. I have tried redownloading the game, but it didnt work.

Thankyou. I guess you could say this problem has been solved.

I'm thinking it has something to do with my keyboard. My Page Up, Page Down buttons messed up awhile back and I think that might be the cause of it. I am sure the problem will be gone once I get my new PC. I can live with it until then. I really do appreciate all the help guys. Special thanks to JasonJ for the sound files.

These are all systme default sounds in LFS zipped into one file

Its the Invalid Key. It keeps playing over and over in 1 second intervals.
