Quote from Racer X NZ :Fully agree mrd3r. Many of us get banned for trying to race on first world servers, so we need to race the AI, and while they are in fact better than they were, yes, sad but true, they are still a bit challenged.
Actually, they race like ( Safe Zone for offended nationalities Smile ) and we all know how bad they are.
And just fast lapping gets boring very quickly. LFS is an online game, best racing actual people so hopefully the Devs will keep releasing great content, the user base will grow and the game moves forward.

Meanwhile, TCR is back up in NZ, not that anyone but me seems to be there, a couple of Aussie servers, nothing I've seen in Indonesia, but here's hoping Smile

Didn't understand what you said entirely (or is it just me?), but I did get some points. And to sum it all up...

Here's a toast for a better LFS! (And a new year full of hope!) *clank*

Never played FlatOut before, but I'm starting to get the big picture Big grin

People like me, living in a not-so-fast-internet region, are used to race with the AIs offline more often than being accused of lagging racing online. Although I can set good lap times online, I still feel the need to practice offline, primarily in overtaking.
Time for the AI to go mental(?)

Long time no see, as I had no connection throughout the past month due to small technical issues. Shrug Ongoing with my next suggestion...

This idea sparked out when I was playing Football Manager. The players have all these mental stats with them, so I'm thinking of making AIs in LFS that actually have different "minds" than the other. One can be aggressive when braking and overtaking, and the other will be rather cautious and rarely attempts risky overtakes. One can be not conscious of managing tire wear, while the other always looks to reserve their tire wear.

As you all know, AIs in LFS are still following the main line (literally Big grin) and not attempting to give some really interesting races, so this suggestion might still be a long way to go. That's it for now, as always I'm sorry if this suggestion was already mentioned somewhere else, sorry for the bad language, and have a good day/night/twilight/apocalypse.

Post-race Celebration by AI
mrd3r
Demo licensed
Hello again! Big grin

This is my third suggestion so far, and I don't think it'll be my last. Nod Now I pay attention to the post race celebration. I actually cannot spot anything that can be said "happiness" by the AI drivers who finished 1st, 2nd, or 3rd. Of course, I'm talking about offline races. I'd like the AI to do a couple of donuts or drifts on some occasion. You know, like what Vettel did at the 2013 Indian Grand Prix. Even better, I'd like the AI drivers to have custom animation of them saluting the (nowhere to be seen) team crew and (stationary) crowd, and making fist punches. I don't actually know how LFS devs can animate stuff, since I cannot note anything being animated in the game by them. Not meaning I underestimate them, they got more skillz than I do. Thumbs up

That will be it from me this time. If this idea was posted by someone in another forum, or maybe if my language style is not understandable, I offer my apologies.

Cheers,

Skin Preview in Skin Selection
mrd3r
Demo licensed
So, I've got up with this idea when I was selecting my skins. I downloaded so many skins that I don't know which skin is which Shrug. Therefore, a preview of each skin rendered into the model might be useful Thumbs up. Maybe a preview can be made when we access the skin for the first time. Or maybe the system can load up the previews by itself when the game starts. I'd suggest it wouldn't be too large so that it takes up memory, but not too small so that we can't differ it from the others. About the view angle, try using the angle that can view the front, right/left, and top of the car. No need of very awesome or pro-like photographic angles.

Sorry for my long, twisty words that might (or already) confuse you, I'm just a young kid from Indonesia. And also, I offer my deepest apologies if this idea had been posted by someone before.

Cheers,

Rhapsodya

Hey, my parents bought me a smartphone from my birthday this year, and a medium spec laptop from last year's Christmas. No problem for me.

And anyway, we shouldn't be having talks like this. Any opinions on this improvement? Constructive comments, please...

Quote from Abone :things do not fall from the sky unfortunately. Christmas is coming, dont ask for ipad or something like that, ask for LFS license

Yeah, I'll ask my parents for one this Christmas. Don't expect anything though Looking
Quote from Abone :... LFS is not so expensive.

I'd have to fix that. Imported stuff aren't that cheap in Indonesia.
£24 : Rp 362134.21 (Google's Currency Converter)
That's about the price of an old, working phone here in Indonesia. Is it worth it? Shrug

Actually, I think it is Uhmm

Just found this thread in the forum, thought I'd share some of my screens with the FBM at sunset Blackwood. Skins used are as follows:Credits to them for making those skins! I'm a little curious as to who made the suit. Uhmm I think it was by RobHedley (as seen on this post), but there's no working link for it. But the others were complimenting about it, and Allstar 500 even made a seatbelted version of it. On the other hand, Janivuoiro just turn the black suit into it's negative colors for the second suit, if I'm not mistaken. But there were no complaints about it (as far as I've seen).

ANYWAYS, enough for the long rant, here's the actual photography that I made. 16 photos, .jpg pictures put in a 12.57 MB .zip file, maximum graphics quality (as far as my laptop can go), 1366 x 768 pixels, original textures, ranging from close up to track side views. My favorites would be "Esses" (I like how the shadow of the car projects to the track), "Hairpin" (I found a perfect camera angle behind the post), and "Out of the pits" (...speechless Thumbs up).

P.S, how do you attach files in this forum? Can you possibly post some screens of how it's done?

Quote from Abone :LFS has other priorities, good idea though. best answer? Buy LFS. you want content, Developers need money to create more content. you just a one more bum "talking about free content"

Good point. But I'm just a 14 year old kid, so I won't buy S2 on my own will. Guess I have to wait for 4 to 7 years before having moving clouds. Shrug

Yes, moving clouds. I really did said that (or actually, typed that).
Did I Say That?
I did an amateur search with the word "clouds" in this sub-forum, but I didn't find anything. So, I just think I'll make this thread. Shrug

Moving clouds would go really nice with the dynamic weather, wet tracks, night tracks, and all that stuff. It would make me stare to the skies more often. It's a good thing, because one wise man said, "Always reach for the skies, for if you fail, you will at least reach the clouds". That said, I wish that the moderators do some improvement with the clouds. It would also be good if you have the option to choose either the 2D clouds (for low-specs, rusty laptops Looking) or the 3D clouds (for high-specs, brand new gaming gear Cool). Storm clouds being seen from afar would also be great, for it would make endurance drivers more cautious about the tire selection during, say, a three hour race in Aston (never raced there, but the preview looks more "endurance-like" than the others Thumbs up).

That's all from me for this suggestion. If somebody had made this thread in another sub-forum, or maybe post about it in another thread, I offer my deepest apologies.

Quote from k_badam :Try Pm-ing Mike, I might have a go at everything in a couple days but I don't have Gimp installed at the moment.

I did try to PM him after I wrote this thread, but as you see...

Thank you for your effort to try it! I'll be waiting for it.
Quote from Eclipsed :Just for the record - suit and gloves skins are client-side only. That means that the new skins will replace some of original skins and noone will see the difference online, while you'll see the modified skin on everyone, who has selected the one from original skins, which got replaced.

Quote from k_badam :I know that

And in fact, I do too. It's just for my personal favoring, not that everybody should see it. Although it'll be a lot nicer if the LFS Developers allow posting suit and gloves as skin...

P.S. Do you need an S2 account to post attachments? I tried to search for answer but returned empty handed. And again, sorry for my English...
Request for GoPro XFG, XRG, Suit, Helmet, and Gloves skin

Hi there fellow racers (and skinners, hopefully Smile)

I just started to play LFS online and I found a BEAUTIFUL skin made by FireMike15 Thumbs up:

Quote from FireMike15 :FBM GoPro - Render by Bose321 [Gerben Bol]
I'm not that good in skinning openwheelers, doing quite hard on them. Nevertheless I finished some simple work which is acceptable I hope.

DOWNLOAD

I'm currently using this as my default FBM skin while playing multiplayer, and would REALLY APPRECIATE if someone (Mike, I know you're out there) to make a similar skin for the XFG, XRG, suit, helmet, and gloves. Might be a bit (OK, a LOT) of trouble, and it might be taking one partaking at a time, but I hope this request can be acceptable.

Regards,

Rhapsodya

P.S: I'm sorry if one of the requests that I made have already been skinned, and if there is I would like someone to kindly post the link of the skin in this thread. Also, I'm sorry for my bad English, I'm from Indonesia Razz.
An Introduction

Hi there fellow racers,

My username's mrd3r, my nickname's Alan Kingston, and my real name's Rhapsodya Piedro. You may see me already in some races (and shamefully getting banned Frown), but today I'm going to properly introduce myself. I'm a junior high school student and a passionate gamer from Indonesia 13 years old. I mainly use keyboard in my gaming, since I don't have any controller yet, and I've already done some more PC racing games other than LFS (such as Codemasters' F1, Dirt, and GRID series and also the Need for Speed series). I've even done some more PC video games from various genres (such as Minecraft (my personal favorite), Besiege, LIMBO, and FIFA 14), but this is my first time being with a REAL RACING SIMULATOR, so it might take some time for me to settle in. Despite that, I hope I will make some good laps and I hope we will have fun racing together Smile

Best Regards,

Rhapsodya Piedro
