I just wonder how many cars are going to be in these races?

Quote from legoflamb :I just noticed that Flat spots are noticeable in FFB wheels, its just very faint.

I wonder if we're feeling the flat spot or the loss of grip on the hot part of the tire.

I think this is a good idea. We already have trackside billboards which nobody seems to mind, why not have a little variety? It would give the servers a bit of a different look and feel.

Really, it's just skins for the billboards, make it a client side option to turn it off and stick with the default billboard skins.

I think you would see more ads for teams, servers and upcoming events than you would see commercial ads anyway.

I think it would be great to have bikes in LFS. Maybe it would encourage some home brew people to start developing something interesting. There's a lot of amazing home built gear out there.

every car has its own script in the scripts folder, you can change things like that in there. I usually tweak FOV for each car in the script. But don't forget to back them up, they often get over written with new patches.

Why not just use the 4 digit city code like you do with desktop widgets that report weather? You will get Temperature, cloud cover and precipitation, scattered showers, heavy rain, whatever. LFS would default to a minimum temperature of say 5C, unless we're going to have snow!

So if you're running a Fern Bay server, enter the city code for Kingston Jamaica or some other city in Jamaica, or anywhere in the world, or of course you could set the weather manually to whatever you want.

If you have more than one PC in the house would it be possible to run a server with a bunch of AI on one PC and then join it and race on another PC? I only have one windows machine so I haven't been able to try this yet.

Victor was running a server a while ago that had features like this. It was great fun. I don't know what happened to the project though.

Clifford Olsen didn't kill any hookers. He preyed on teens and pre-teens. I was 13, living in Burnaby. I remember seeing a car parked in a strange place at the side of the road with someone sitting behind the wheel, I decided to turn around and go back home. The kids faces were everywhere on posters.

Sad days.

Imagine if you will, 2 or 3 devs from EA Sports quit their jobs and get together and make an "on-line ice skating simulator". The software simulates, as near as possible, the physics of ice skating.

Imagine the flame wars between the hockey players and the figure skaters.

That's what we have here.

When it comes right down to it, we're all playing the same video game.

Have your fun, I'll have mine.

Quote : And about crack:
Man what is so wrong about crack, I have it too and I must say that I bought licence becouse of CRACK. I was driving on crack for 1 mounth and I was inpresth whit S2 cars and track, so I bough mine self a wheel and drive 1 more mount on crack. But I could'nt uploud mine times on LFSW and I was so unhappy. So I bought S2 and now I can uploud it. Here in Bosnia we play all games on cracks , we are the mother of carcks

Actually I find weed is better for playing LFS. Cocaine makes you too jittery and tense. MJ helps you relax and focus more on the car and your driving. Alcohol is okay but not too much because of course it starts to affect your reaction time and co-ordination.

It would be great to have a dedicated server for Linux.

after the race, there's a column showing the number of pit stops done by each driver.

It would be nice to have that column during the race with the split times.

I think the current map is fine the way it is. Yellow are the cars ahead of you in the race, orange are the cars behind you. If you're not sure wether a car is on the same lap, watch the split times.

You should have to enter the pits from the track for your pit stop to count.

now that we have autocross marshalls that point left/right, we could have one of them standing there.
