I used to have #88 as my plate.

By the way, it has been 2 years since my last race in LFS. I got into a Formula Student project in my school and we had a sauna party last night, and someone took his computer, G25 and a projector along. We had a hot lap night and as I (of course ) won the "event", I decided to install LFS on my computer and get my wheel back from the basement.

So hello again fellow racers, hope the scene is as warm and hearty as it was 2 years ago!

Quote from Blackout :But does Nordea allow using their Electron cards in "verified by Visa" not "verified by Visa Electron" service only? OP used to have this problem, they only allowed Visa Electron verified pages, now they have changed their policy and it's possible to use the card as normal Visa....and they changed it because Sampo was taking all their young customers who couldn't have proper Visa yet.

Last week I was in a Osuuspankki's presentation for students because of my financial studies and they said that you should always be aware when using OP Visa Electron on a site not Verified by Visa. So if I got it correct you should be able to use OP Visa Electron like any other Visa-card. It could be I'm still wrong, I was mostly concentrating on delicious pie we had during the presentation.

But with Nordea I am not so sure. I think Nordea allows Electron to be used on any "Verified by Visa" -site, if the paperworks are alright.

It could be best for you if you call Nordea Support and ask them.

Quote from Californian :I'll keep that in mind if I can't find anyone within my friends who is willing to do this.

Thanks.

If you want to use your Nordea Visa Electron to make online payments you can enable them in your e-bank, just go to Kortit -> Verkkokäyttö and enable them there.

If you are under 18 years old you can do this by going to your local Nordea bank and ask for a form called "Alaikäisen Visa Electron -kortin rekisteröinti Verified by Visa -palveluun" and fill that form and ask for your parents to sign it. You can also print this form from the Nordea site, just can't remember where it was.

Welcome to Live for Speed, you won't regret!

Quote from Blackout :Doesn't lifting off count as engine braking too? That is useful and very strong in the BF1 for example.

In a car like BF1 the "braking" you notice while lifting off is just a side effect from the massive downforce a formula car generates. I think if there is downforce, there must be drag too (if we are not talking about ground effect which is banned nowadays).

Quote from bbman :Sorry, there is no ground effect in LfS (yet)...

Hmm, I have always thought there is because there is a ground effect slider on FOX settings if my memory serves me right. Can't check it because I am at work now.

You should also keep in mind that FOX has a ground effect and it creates the most of the downforce. When you drive over a kerb your car rises high above the ground and there is a massive loss on downforce, as the "tunnel" where the air comes from to the "chamber" is relatively much closer to the size of the chamber because both of the "parts" are added the extra height of the "risen" car.

It is like if there is a 2cm "tunnel" where the air comes in to the 20cm chamber it creates more negative pressure (and therefore more downforce as the car is sucked down) than if you drive over a kerb and your car is raised asymmetrically an extra let's say 10 centimeters, when there would be some ~10cm tunnel and a ~30cm chamber. As you can see (2/20 = 0.1 <-> 10/30 = 0.3) there is a 300% (or you can say it drops to 33% from normal) difference in suction and downforce created by ground effect when driving over a kerb or not, and that's why the car is hard to handle. (the numbers are not based on any car data, just estimated)

I am sorry for messy explanation as english is not my native language.
