Does anyone have a PSD or a vector file with a perfect circle on top of the helmet? I'm talking about something like Hamilton has in his helmet. I've been trying to make a perfect circle for ages, but it never comes out smooth.
Ferrari is in deep sh*t. I was disappointed in Alonso but apparently he had problems with his gearbox and then the engine blew up. They've used half of their motors already and there's still 16 races to go. If they can't fix things up their season is going to end in tears.
Good race by McLaren, especially Hamilton. Too bad Button got stuck behind the Ferraris and Toro Rossos, he had potential to be higher. Renault and Force India are getting better and I'm sure they will mix up the scorings more during this season.
I don't remember Heikki really complaining last year when McLaren pretty much f*cked up his season with their sh*tty strategies I've never liked Hamilton, but he's beginning to turn to a complete assh*le. I guess he just doesn't understand that he will face problems during his career too like everyone else. Suck it up and be a man, Hammie Where's Anthony when you need him? Hamilton racing in the streets of Australia... you're driving an F1 car, isn't that enough? Lewis needs a good ol' whipping
Ummm... Where did I say you don't enjoy LFS? All I said was that maybe you bought the licence right away, but you're just one player. The majority of players are different, they get bored easily. I know my english is not perfect, but blaming me because of your mistake is in my opinion annoying and amusing also. This argument can go on and on, you have your opinions, I have mine. I still stand behind my words. You're stubborn, I'm stubborn.
The point of this topic obviously was to get more drivers for S2. So if there are 500 demo players online, it's difficult to get even half of them to buy a S2 licence with the restriction. And still LFS wouldn't have that many players online.
I think there should be more promotion for LFS, because when I think about it I have never seen any ads for LFS anywhere except maybe some topics on other forums. LFS is a bit underground. You have to look for it to find it
Also here in Finland MTV3 (the official F1 channel in Finland) has this LFS-series called Maailman Nopein Kansa (World's Fastest Nation) and many finns have joined LFS after seeing the TV ad. If other countries would have something like this I'm sure there would a lot more LFS users, both demo and S2. I don't know who came up with the idea, Scavier or MTV3, but Scavier could maybe contact other tv-channels in other countries for something similar
Looks like Red Bull and Ferrari are fast, but both have some technical problems ATM, I'm sure they will fix em quickly. McLaren too.
HRT just sucked badly, new team, but still. Or maybe I just don't remember how badly new teams have started before. When was the last time a new team joined the series, but did not buy an existing team? Virgin is not reliable, but looks faster than Lotus. And a great race by Lotus, Trulli had some odd problems at the end, and Heikki had such a long stint his tires were all worn out. But a great victory for Lotus.
Good first race for Schumi and especially for Rosberg. Mercedes didn't really have any problems, just need more speed
WHAT THE HECK? Kimi wanted the championship just as much as Alonso. One does not go to Ferrari because of money, the team has such a great history and people know you have a good change of winning the championship with Ferrari. I don't think anyone is racing for the money, they're making shitload of it anyway...
No, I did not complain about the current state of the demo version. I did not say we need more cars/tracks etc. for the demo, I just gave you facts: the demo version has only 1/2 tracks, 3 cars, a lot less than S2 and like you said, there will be more upcoming cars now, but the demo will still have 1/2 tracks and 3 cars.
And the idea of this topic was to give more benefits for buying a S2 licence, because the demo will have less content. That means a bigger gap between the demo and S2.
Less to do in demo + S2 = bigger gap = more benefit for S2
Yes, LFS has problems. It is not perfect, saying something else is stupid, there is no perfect game/simulator. It's better in some parts and worse in some parts. They all have their flaws, so does LFS. And you were saying that LFS is a game that keeps on developing. I mentioned rFactor which is also developing due to mods. What I meant with "fun part of racing" (maybe I could've said it differently) is increasing amount of cars, tracks and mods, I did not mean that LFS is not fun. One day you can drive with a '65 Ferrari F1, the next day with a pickup truck on f.e. rFactor. LFS and rFactor are competing with each other and thinking that LFS does not need to worry is stupid. S3 has still a lot of work to do, but rFactor is already getting a second version with many features that LFS lack. Physics is just one part of realism.
People want new stuff every now and then, a regular driver gets bored quickly. You are an exception, a normal person might not be interested in buying a game that might not be so interesting for him in a longer run.
And why are you picking on my driving? I already said that I might buy a LFS licence, but ATM I need to focus on something else, so I don't want LFS to distract me. So yes I could afford it, but I don't wanna invest in it yet.
I was actually coming here to suggest this, though I'm sure it's been suggested before us too. I usually go to the pits to modify my setups before the next race starts and this would help a lot because you wouldn't have to go back and forth to see if the race has started.
So you're saying that LFS should do the same thing as all the others and not support demoplayers and become one of them? I'm completely happy with what I have at the moment, did I complain about that? No. And I'm not saying that demoplayers should have more stuff in the game, you've payed for it so you should have more stuff of course, I've payed for advances too, just not in LFS.
I'm complaining about people wanting to make a bigger gap between licenced and demoplayers. We don't have that much stuff on demo when compared to the licenced game and still you're wanting more benefits for yourself.
As for me not buying a licence, I could afford it (seriously, I could), but at the moment I have more important things to do than focus on a racing simulator. It's more of a investment issue, money is not the problem.
You know, I understand that LFS is made by only 3 persons, but the game is still developing reallyyyyy slow. Changes are coming every now. I'm not talking just on my behalf, but for a lot of people waiting for a new update for months is impossible. I personally would hire people from the community to help them. I'm sure there are many people here that could help Scavier with something, but they're not using them. However I'm not part of Scavier, and that is not their way of doing things.
And even paying for a game that has so few tracks and cars compared to others is not convincing for normal people. LFS is supported more by people who are interested in realism more than anything, other sims are taking away a big amount of players who are more interested in the fun part of racing. The big "problem" of LFS is that because it's based so much into realism, developing the game is much slower. However your statement is irrelevant: I'm sure rFactor is in many peoples mind a better investment, because it is changing due to all the mods. But I'm not gonna start comparing these games.
Giving players time to develop their driving with the demo creates much more professional drivers for S2 and S3. I for example have been very slow before this year when I came back to LFS. I was driving 1:16-1:18 before and now I've started to race more and more seriously and I am driving now low 1:14's at best and mostly mid 1:15's. I'm slowly getting better, and now for the first time I think I could even race against others in S2. Who would buy a game if they know they are not competitive?
I'd rather see LFS as a great meeting place for excellent racers than a money making soulless corporation (you get the idea) where Sebastian Vettels are driving against Karum Chandhoks
I'm actually pretty surprised about Red Bull, well actually it was only Vettel who was good, even brilliant, deserved the pole. Did underestimate Ferrari and I'm quite disappointed in Mercedes and McLaren. But I did get their standings right, Mercedes is faster than the Macs, but Hamilton is still faster than Schumi.
Schumi did a good job, people are giving him too big targets. He hasn't raced for 3 years, but he's still a excellent driver. Nico is fast and one of the greatest drivers at the moment, was already on Williams, Schumi has a great team-mate.
PS. Oh yeah almost forgot: WAY TO GO MASSA! Alonso is pissed!
PPS. Oh I remembered Rosberg was in front of Hamilton. But yeah, I still think Mercedes is faster at least a little bit
Demo restriction to a game that isn't even finished? Where is the world going? I agree with the others, none is gonna pay for a game just because their demo time is over. I'm a demo driver, yes, but I should be treated as a humanbeing too. You already have your own skins, many cars, tracks and leagues. We, the demo racers, only have 3 cars, one/two track(s) and there ain't that many leagues either.
Sorry to say this, but that's one ugly son of a b*tch. It looks like a cockroach. I looked at the first picture and I was like "meh", but then the rear of the car just killed me I guess you can smash the front and it would still keep going on for days :haha:
Sorry to bump this thread, but seriously this Sized guy has some serious issues! His complaining all the time and blaiming others. He smashed into my rear, because I almost hit the car in-front and started to blame me. And then next lap I hit him in the side, yes it was my fault, my brakes didn't work that well, BUT I even slowed down so I wouldnt get any advance from the hit, he started to call me a crasher, and well I was banned for 24hr. Racing is not always clean, there will be bumps and hits and crashes in racing always. LFS is supposed to be a racing simulator, and contacts are part of racing. Crashers are another breed, because their target is not to race.
Does this ISD team even own this server? But I don't really care that's not the way to act! The server is my favourite and everything is going well before this jacka** logs-in. The rest of the ISD team seem to be very nice, but this idiot is a complete a**.
Sorry for the rage, but at least I kept my cool and didn't do that much harm.
True, but you really can't compare these 3 teams with the others. They are driving a different race, driving against each other. We should only be comparing Lotus, Virgin and HRT and forget all the rest. Lotus and Virgin are of course extremely slow, but what I meant is that HRT will have problems getting their car to the grid. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd only get one car to the race. Virgin was really difficult to the drive, you could see it from the cockpit view and for now, I haven't seen any major issues with Lotus, except that they're slow.
Looks like Mercedes will dominate in Bahrain! I mean the engine, not the team itself. It's hard to say what will happen in the qualify but I think McLaren and Mercedes GP will take the first two rows. Red Bull had some problems at least in the practice session and I think Ferrari wasn't that aggressive as they could've. There's was just something that didn't work well with them.
Seriously, I don't understand what's going on with HRT. Chandhok hasn't driven a single lap and I think Senna broke his car in the end of the second practice session, I wonder if they have any spare parts yet. I know "bla-bla-bla it's a new team", but they have some major problems anyway when comparing to f.e. Lotus. Virgin is also struggling a little bit.
Anyway, I'm rooting for Rosberg. He has driven brilliantly.
Nice skin altough very dull (not your fault ) altough you propably have to update it after this weekend or at least I think they're going to have more sponsors
