Such event happened with Bourdais in Australia. He retired but was classified.
Also in 2005 year when Raikonnen crashed just before finish line and had one more lap to go, he was classified.
F1 rules clearly state that driver have to complete 90% of distance to be classified. In endurance races you can even crash 100 laps before finish and still get classified.
I was participating in BF1 race at AS4R yesterday. At the main straight I was smashed into the wall at the left side then car bounced and hit the wall between the track and the pitlane.
The game said my car was in forbidden area and kicked me to spectators.
Is it bug or that was done on purpose? There is small extract with this accident.
Some tracks, like Aston Historic Rev may damage springs even when you stay away from curbs, just bumpy road, and most of such bumps are invisible.
And I've checked replay in Replay Analizer. It sais minimum suspension travel remaining is 14mm for front and 8 for rear. The car (BF1 in my case) never bottoms out but still gets damaged.
I've done some experiment. Drove BF1 at Aston National and Westhill 200km at R3 tyres without change. No problems so far. It seems R3 tyres are closer to F1 hard tyres, whereas R2 are usefull for qualification and hotlaps only. Something average between R2 and R3 would be handy. R2.5?
It depends on car. With FOX and FO8 it won't allow more than 450 degrees. In setup screen you can check maximum amount, some cars allow 900 degrees but I don't remember which ones.
Have got banned for about 2 hours once because of some crashing jerk.
I have a little bit oversteery set for BL1 and use inner curbs sometimes to generate even more oversteer. But BL set and driving style doesn't work at other tracks so I change my style and sets to neutral.
In old days cars had some rubber between dampers and chassis to reduce negative effect of bottoming out. You could see that in GPL. I don't know whether LFS simulates something like that or not
I know about raf files and replay analyzers. the point is not to beat WR but to be consistently fast in race with R2 tyres and racing set. In race I've seen nothing faster than low 1.09 whereas vincper's WR is faster than 1.08.
Actually Gentlefoot pointed in right direction, I have bad habit to apply too much lock and scrub speed in turns.
Hello, I've just did my 1.09.78 PB during online race at BL1 with FOX car and my TPB is 1.09.65 at the moment. I'd like to improve further. Could you guys review this replay (my 4th lap) and give me some tips how to get even faster.
I've got smashed into a wall at lap 1, and seems that confused mpredit so I couldn't make replay smaller.
