Ok right so,
atm I have an intel dual core E2200 2.2GHz processor, but I am looking for a possible quad core processor.
I know the pins on the processor i already have are 775, but im not sure wheather a quad core processor would be compatible with my mobo,
trouble is i'm not too good with processors and mobos,
I was wondering if anyone could help me find out if a quad core would be compatible with my computer
The pc is an Acer Veriton M464,
- updated graphics card to nvidia Geforce 9800 GTX
- updated psu to 665 watts

Hi everyone, I am getting some money for my birthday and have saved up a bit and i am hoping to get a new computer of my own. I have a budget of about 400 pounds. I don't really know a lot about computers so i kinda need some help. It doesnt have to be a good case i don't really care about the looks i just want some fairly decent innards. I would like a 19'' screen or something close to that, dual core processor is fine. 2 gb ram preferably. not an amazing graphics card but one that is fairly good. These are all the basic things i can think of. I would be extremely grateful for any replys. TY Aidan
