turned out to be an ISP problem. Called them and switched to a new static public IP. Everything works fine now.

I'm going to take my laptop down to the office and see if it doesn't unlock there.

That will establish whether it's an ISP problem or not and if so, I will contact them.

reinstalled LFS... still doesn't work.

I am definitely using my GAMEpassword, but I can't even connect to the server in the first place.

still am unable to connect within LFS.

I'm registered as having an S2 license, but I am stuck as a demo racer in LFS.

Keep getting "Unable to connect to master server" error message.

just purchased an S2 license, but I am unable to connect to the master server to unlock LFS.

ping and tracert work just fine on master.lfs.net,
telnet does not.

I am running Windows XP SP2 and both the Windows firewall and my router firewall are turned off (not that they would block outgoing connections anyway).

any help will be much appreciated.
