This wheel is going to be great!

My MIP and LOD are all the way up. I believe half textures cuts the texture size in half to save video memory but I could be wrong.

I read in a LFS FAQ about 2x textures but don't see the option anywhere in S2. I have all the settings at max with 6xAA and 16xAF but the game still doesn't look as good as it does in some screens I see. I'm using a X800 Pro which isn't too great anymore but I believe LFS should look as good as it does in the screens I see. Any ideas?

Yeah mang, watching movies on your in-dash dvd player would be phat while blazing down the track.

This is my 2nd skin. The hood, trunk, mirrors and wing are carbon fiber. Any and all feedback is very much appreciated!

I'm pretty sure they're applied because the game looks much better than it did normally. I'm using ATI Tray tools if that helps.

First attempt at a LFS edit. Hard to tell but I did quite a bit to it while trying to keep it simple. I'm using 6xFSAA and 16xAF at 1920x1440, not sure why it's still a bit aliased. Nothing was downsized, just cropped. Let me know what you think!

So there is a way to start from the beginning of the current lap? You're right, the race would be over in real life, but when you pit normally in real life you don't start from lap 1 :P

I've entered the pits manually but nothing happens. What exactly should I do? :o

I think it's a great idea. I was on a server last night on the city long track just cruising at like 40mph and was having fun. I think "free" server would be great.

Every track pretty much has an area where you can pull to the side and park, that could be a skinning/discussion area, then people can either cruise the track, test setups, or race around it. Hell, there's even a parking lot track.

As long as everyone is civilized and not ramming each other, it should be pretty cool. Maybe we can even form a group and set a website up. I have a decent connection which can usually hold full servers nicely, but maybe we can look into getting a legit server.

Maybe i'm thinking too far ahead but I think it would be a great idea to hang out and spend(waste) the time :P Sometimes I want to mess around in LFS without racing, but doing it in single player gets a little boring.

I noticed that whenever you pit, you start all over agian from lap 1. Just wondering why, if say you're on lap 9 and you pit, you don't start from the beginning of lap 9 instead of all the way back in lap 1?

Is there any way around this or is that the way the game is. I just don't understand the reasoning behind it.

Great video, great editing, great concept. At first I was thinking "the only flaw is both cars have the same plate number" but at the end it made sense. Very nice

Got into a few fender benders but none were my fault.

Get this, I got rearended THREE times in a 6 month period. I was sitting at a red light minding my own business each time I got creamed. Must have been LFS players

I'm 22, and have owned about 9 cars since I was 17

I did manage to wreck a few bikes though, and trust me that's no fun!

Close racing without a doubt! Keeps me on edge and close competition is great.

OK I got everything working but now the wheel calibration is horrible. It keeps going off. It works at 200deg. but anything more than that and it goes crazy. Any ideas?

EDIT: Set 720 in the logitech software and 720 in the game, then selected get rid of dead zones. Seems to be good now. Hope this helps anyone if they face the same issue.

EDIT again: Only gripe I have now is that the motor of the wheel is kinda loud. I feel like i'm forcing it or breaking it every time it whines. Is this sound normal?

Just got the DFP as well but getting no force feedback. Any ideas? It works fine with GT4.

Also when I combine the throttle/brake it doesn't work correctly. I'm not seeing the spring/damper/center settings either

You can always change the gearing which (in this game) should have a similar effect.

I've never heard a BOV being called a "dump valve." There is such thing as a dump tube (which comes off the wastegate) but i've never heard the term "dump valve."

Seems like some people in here are trying to argue with minimum/no knowledge of forced induction.
