Just to throw my 2p in here...

I used to play LFS A LOT! But then my PC died and I got a PS3 instead to play games. I returned to LFS a few times but for various reasons it was a pain to plug a laptop into my TV, sort my wheel out to work on the laptop etc... However I still loved LFS and really wished it could be on my console.

So what I think might be a good idea is for the game to launch a Kickstarter to get it ported and developed onto PS4 and maybe XBOX One. As they both are very similar in architecture to a PC hopefully it wouldn't take too much trouble once developed to keep all three updated.

Current S2/S3 owners could get a discount on S4 or whatever they called it and new people pay full price for would be one of the best sim racers around. The extra cash could be used to update the graphics engine, add new content, new features, new tracks, new cars... Also allowing the developers to focus just on LFS.

Anyway it is just a thought. I know I'd fire £30 off to upgrade my S2 license to include a PS4 version and possibly even an annual sub to keep it updated with more content etc.

Went online today and there was SO Classic servers so i started a race with 10 AI cras. They slowly got better to laps of 45 secs. Still to slow to race with. If i keep them running will they get towards 42 secs?

I've extended a karting track on the autocross layout. But i want to make it onto the car park so it can be a race instead of setting lap times.

Is there an easy way to transfer it or am i going to have to recreate it?

Fantastic fun! Glad to see it back! I wish mid race join was on though. Its ok when you have loads of ppl already but getting it going is hard work.

After searching the forum for recommendations for a new wheel, it seems the DFP is one that keeps being mentioned. I have froogled it for a price but all responses seem to say it is for the PS2. Is this the one i want or is there one for PC that I am missing?

Just trying to setup a dedicated s2 server. I get connected and config loads but i cant get it to load SO Classic by default. Any help with what the /track= should be.

Press N until the connections list come up then click the yellow S to the right of the name of the person who sent it. You then give it a name, then pit and select the setup.

I'd like to see the 'Pea' from the recent Birds Eye adverts on British TV!

Personally i think its a stupid idea. If every server starts requiring say 5000 miles of experience then anyone that had just purchased the game is screwed unless they can host their own server.

Thanks Stellios but if you read the above posts, you will see i have pretty much conceeded defeat on this one. There is now way of dealing with noobs in a technological way... more of a social way is needed.

I guess this is more of a solution than just alienating them but obviously it will take longer and more patience. Maybe more newbie friendly servers where people (like those here) can help racers improve.

I suppose so... well it was a suggestion and like a lot of ideas... it needed thinking through.

Ok thats all true. The reason why the idea popped into my head cause i too have done less than 5000 miles but i think im a good driver (some people will disagree im sure ) but im tired of people complaining on servers saying "Stupid noob!" and things like that cause someone has taken them out or is going a bit too slow for them. Other than making the server private i cant see another way to differenciate between good drivers and noobs. Maybe the total points on LFS World?
