1. The engines will be quiter.
2. Some sources say its biodiesel, the engines will be even more quiter
3. Max should be given the boot!!!
Indy Car and Champcar could form and make a series better than F1 if this happens.
Go to as many F1 races as you can before 2011!
If F1 uses 4wd more options for race tracks could come into the picture.
Though the cars may sound like crap, imagine a 770 hp 4wd F1 car taking off from a stop it would be amazingly quick with no traction control bogging the car down.
If I ran Formula One this is what I would do as far as cars go:
Aids:Keep TC it makes a cool sound.
Tires:Slick Tires
Aero:Less strict aero regulations
Engines:3.0 N/A V10, 3.2 liter N/A V8, 2.6 liter N/A V12. 3.5 liter N/A V6. Rev limited to 19,000 rpm
This is with the W10 test patch, RB4, Blackwood GP, my own layout.
After hitting the edge of one of the the red and white "barrier long" barriers the replay freezes while the game is still running just fine. It's like pausing the game without having to break a finger pressing the pause button. But if you don't have fingers I guess that wouldn't matter.
Like Fernando Alonso.....very agressive, I slam the wheel into the corners...and my movements tend to be jerkey rather than smooth but it all works out.
Look at the lighting the shading and especially the wheels. It looks similar to LFS. The background looks like CMX viewer with evening lighting. The tires don't look like LFS though I'm just pointing it out.
I still think it looks "similar" to LFS knowing that it probley isn't literally in LFS. The fact that it looks similar to LFS imo made me want to point this out. Looking at the other 3d car designs you can obviously see they are renders and renders of the models used in the Nascar 2003 Racing Season IRL carset.
As I was looking at 3d car designs on the Indy Car Series website I spotted this which looks alot like LFS. I don't think it means anything but I thought maybe I should point this out.
Your GT Legends videos are a perfect example of how I personally was expecting more from the sounds in GTR2. GTL has way better sounds. A real race car has a sound that sounds like the exhaust is going to vibrate until it shatters.
OMG what kind of computer do you have!!! Its so smooth. It looks like the real thing the way the driver turns the steering wheel is just like a real F1 driver. My computer is too slow so I can't appreciate the suspension, tyre, etc...when it all happens so smoothly its superb. I would definately love to see more videos like this. That was great, and one other thing I checked your web site and you also take some of the best pictures I've ever seen!!
edit: superb choice of music too!! what song did you use for the RB4 video? Lol never mind I found it Coldplay- Speed of Sound
and DavidSS in my opinion an LFS license is no waste of money. No other sim even comes close to feeling as great as LFS does. I have Rfactor and its a game compared to LFS.
A drift track like this wouldn't be much different from a mountain rally stage, so the racers can race the mountain and the drifters can drift the mountain. It would appeal to many people the rally fans and the drift fans. It would be nice to have two different layouts one that goes one direction that stays tarmac and one that goes the other way that changes to gravel or dirt.
lol..I live it in person I just stood there filming everything on my camera. I was on Premiere too! I guess I can be considered not an idiot because I just stood
I'm positive after watching much of the 2005 season sometimes they would show either Michael or Rubens rolling up to their starting position and they tap the button once then stop and tap that button again(You could even here the same click of the launch control being turned on when the button was pressed.) apply the clutch behind the steering wheel and after pressing that button it locks the rpms at the optimum rpm for the least amount of wheel spin. So all it does is make it easier on their foot, they can put the throttle all the way down with the clutch dropped and it doesn't exceed the locked rpm. The game F1 Challenge 99-02 has the exact same sound when you turn on the launch control. I also remember hearing an announcer here in the US say that they have a form of launch control that is used within the rules of Formula One. I'm not exactly sure how the launch control works internally but it must be mostly mechanical to be able to fit within the rules.
