Go as wide as you can with as much throttle as possible.. Thats the only right way : )

Sometimes I rest my throttle foot and position it to lay on my chair and throttle with my left "brake" foot Nod, tab trough other racers (yes why not), answer long replies in chat or then just do nothing... Than move down the straight Shrug
Demo car skins

Ive a little question regarding skins in demo LFS... So if I happened (jesus.. spent 3hrs with photoshop making a skin lol) to make a skin of my own from scrap, other people cant see it unless they have it downloaded on their PC? And people who dont, just see a white default car?

e: got some guy online tryin to convince me that ppl see ur skin if u have some1 with S2 upload it to the database or something, can any1 confirm?

Well there is a program that lets you control the camera with your head movemets : ) Like if you turn your head left IRL it makes the camera turn left in the game aswell.

FF is... Annoying *shrug* have it turned off ^^, driving FBM with slick settings requires rather sensitive maneuvers and the FF makes it more difficult to perform those maneuvers :P

u need to set throttle/brake to same axis from the game options cause some wheels dont support seperate axis(es?)

I like it (/hate it, lol) cause BL1 FBM is addicting AS HEEELL

I tried with more balance towards the rear and it was horrible for me, couldnt keep the wheels from locking without going seriously low on the brake power if you have yourself a FBM setup with settings that favour trail braking more could you share maybe .. ?

Thanks for the post, was a good read. But Im a little unclear about the 1st chapter, especially the 0 degree toe part, could you try to explain that part a little differently?

I'll definately practice trail braking, but it just gets me rear tyres to lose traction, I guess it'll be better with 50/50 brake balance

Thanks for the comments. Whoa, I never thought of that, I'll try with less steer.

Keling; oh well, not quite sure, haven't happened to me be4, prolly some malfunctioning with the wheel setups in either LFS / profile manager

e: I tried driving smoother, driving in wider lines etc and managed to finish with 90c tyres, so thanks for the tip, it work'd :>
figured I dont have to steer / throttle so much to go fast, was just chilling trough the track and managed to do 4 "great" rated laps in a row : )

Tyres overheating, watch the .spr !

Yeah I got some trouble with keeping my tyres from overheating during a 5 lap race. The left front wheel keeps heating to 95-100c+ which makes driving the last 1-2 laps really hard. I have tried many different setups which none seem to leave a different result. Also played around with brake settings but without locking I still get overheating, so, please watch the replay and leave a comment if you spot a problem : ). Thanks.

1) l2typefaaast
2) get a throttle pedal
3) hold throttle with ur foot
4) press T or whatever (best when on a straight) and type fast, then when text = rdy, press T again
5) profit ... ?

Myself I have the LG formula force EX. Costed me like 45ish euros, that should be around 60-70USD (I guess), it's pretty good. Myself I dont play that much racing games so that was the most desirable pick for me. One thing that annoyes me in it though is that it makes a little weird noise (doesnt bother really) every time I turn the wheel , but otherwise its great.

Just posting here cause I had some fun in LFS today, I decided to try without automatic shifting and I learned the manual within minutes, I had tried it few times earlier but it just wouldnt work. So I was obv. able to go much much faster with manual than automatic, even managed to beat my old pb by like 0.1 sec

Also enjoying the wheel and the pedals, starting to learn them aswell.
From a mouse to wheel + pedals

Yes I recently got a wheel + pedals, have had the wheel for approximately a week and now and Im getting rather annoyed by the fact that Im doing really bad. Im not even close to the lap times I did with a mouse (1.13.4 pb with mouse in blackwood & fmb... for perspective value ... <- can u even say like that btw )

So the question.. How long should it usually take to get my wheel times match my mouse times?

I feel like I've wasted money if I cant break my mouse PB time with a wheel + pedals, really

Quote from rockclan :I know who this guy was
No not me, I could directly give you his name/username, but he wouldn't be that happy.
He indeedly used the old Blackwood, which strange enough just worked :O

It was carpark : / Demoserver "Test"
Also forgot to add.. He was doing a side wheelie with FBM, I say HEX editing LFS.exe (so did he, maybe its true)

Saw some1, some week ago, on a public live server, he said he was doing "editing lfs.exe", his car was doing 40m jumps in his really disfigured car but with every jump his all 4 tires touching the ground (looked kinda cool) also he wouldnt get pitted or spectated when flying out of the bounds, either it was lag or then he intended that too.. I say hackz :[

Pedals and positioning

Ello, I just bought me a set of pedals and a racing wheel, and I could use some suggestions about positioning and operating them, the problem is that what Im doing now makes my feet hurt after a little while, so could some1 instruct me with this stuff, thanks

Oh and btw, I just got the wheel and from the experiences of few laps, Im doing horribly, can barely stay on the track (this is cause of the new controller ), so how long did you guys take to learn the pedals and wheel?

2 questions, 1 topic. Sorry if there was already one of this type, didnt find any myself
