Feels strange, but great to be honest to still be alive and kicking, and progressing. Still all the old faces around, BBO, 3J, P1lot, VTX, myself, like you said, just not on here as much anymore, but you never know what might happen with S3 gets released. You should take a look at our new funky website, BBO done a fantastic job on it.
Yo Mouseman, yes the Golden Oldie Fordie is still live and kicking, just not around here as much anymore, and thanks mate for you post, appreciate it, still working hard, and still trying to race harder LOL
Yep I am still alive, and do check back here once in a while, but just been involved with certain things with AC at the moment. Noticed it wasn't shared, so thought I would share it. Thruxton has been released, and I was heavily involved in that release, really proud of it. Just like the old times in LFS, I produced the release video.
As you can see, I have had a major upgrade since my LFS movie days, but see what you think. Hopefully you won't be to harsh on me LOL
I have played around, and I think this is better control wise for a FF wheel, but each to their own I guess. Also changed the sound ( just because I can) as I watched some V8 video's on U tube
Some time back I had the same issue with my own mod car, it turned out to be the tyres/unsprung weight, eventually I was able to tune it out.
If someone wants to have a go, https://www.mediafire.com/?uyz3mmimdcmzbx3
No need to point out that the model and sounds are borrowed
Now that was good fun....just took it around Brands Hatch, and loved it. Steering I think could do with being a little more responsive, to much turning circle??
You say you borrowed the model, I didn't know this Mod was out
what are you doing different to me? because for me its crap.
I think there is a setup on the AC Forums which is meant to make the car more enjoyable, not sure. I have only tried it offline at Brands, and I must admit it was good fun, might have a look for an online server tonight
I was just going to say the same thing Sin...and his quote "“I formed Sector 3 to first try and keep as much of the talent SimBin employed as possible,” said Speed, though 18 employees will still be affected by the move.
He described the bankruptcy as the "easiest way" to enact a pre-planned "restructuring process"
No what he means to say is...
I have been planning this for a while now and this was my cheapest way of getting out of paying the bills and redundency as going backrupt, you have to fight the solvency for money, not me. I am sorry to the 18 people, but you have no jobs for now, but guess what, I am an MD of another company now, and I will re-employ you on lower salary and we will continue as normal...PMSL...Same here Sin...seen it all before, actually seeing it now where I work, not solvency, the magic word "restructure" apply for your own jobs as your job title has changed LOL
It takes a bit of time to get used to it but it does get easier! I started off at 46s on my first go.
I spoke to Mike Simpson, Ginetta's works driver and publicity guy. Apparently they are going to set up at Trafford Centre after this one finishes and have plans for a few other malls around the country too eventually.
There is two nice shopping centres near me, 30mins away, hope they pick one in Norfolk
@Scawen - They should of taken a leaf out of our stand at the MPH Show...that's how your promote LFS at a trade stand
Been doing some testing yesterday and today with some interesting results, although might be obvious.
I chose the following, kept the same grid but varied the tracks:
Mercedes x 3
Lotus GTE x 3
Lotus Exige S x 3
X-Bow x 3
Shelby Cobra x 2
Used only tracks by Kudos (10 laps)
The X-Box ran away in the short tracks, but in the longer tracks, it was only slightly quicker. The SLS, Cobra and the 2 Lotus's was lapping within a second of each other, on all tracks.
Although the Cobra and SLS are quicker, the Lotus's surpassed them on braking, so it evened the field up.
Now only now have I seen how crap the AI actually is in AC. If I drove like that online, I would be kicked in seconds, but this was just a basic test. What I also did was to run 10 laps on each. This gave the AI time to space out a little bit instead of hitting each other, and the lap times was consistent.
So now for the real test. Going to set my server up with a mix of the following, maximum 19 slots, but will be using UK Tracks.
Mercedes x 4
Lotus GTE x 5
Lotus Exige S x 5
Shelby Cobra x 4
