Same here, but I did it on purpose, so I could have something stupid as my racername; Scary/Leary/Fairy. As for logitekg25, if you come up with one of the dullest usernames ever (although it seems to be an American trait to use controller/wheel names on here), then you should have to live with it!
But then a real car (after a night of not being touched) wouldn't have crooked steering and no response from the pedals.
It’s funny you should say that, but I heard a story from an experienced mechanic, about a particular model of car that had a brake fault. Long story short was that people where ploughing into other cars at the first turning, set of lights they came to, which shows that not many people check the brakes when they set off (but if your car was pulling then I think you might stop).
5 seconds when you've gone straight into an online race's a long time!
Since Sony killed the Genre with their $hitty F1 games. I just think this space's going to become a lot more crowded when Codemasters come back on the scene (if they go old-school and disregard their recent crap incarnations).
Hence why I didn’t buy it (but I might now). The new interface looks pretty good, with a decent wheel/pedal calibration tool, that doesn’t need to be repeated four times a fortnight like in LFS! The only downside as a demo user (also) in nKpro’s that with the new beta you can’t load any third party tracks and Monaco no longer works in my original installation.
I’m not there yet. It feels like every time I play LFS something has changed in either my controller or car setup.
Because the one on offer costs more normally? I think thirty odd quid says that nKpro’s aspirational (hopefully not like race pro), but LFS at £24 stinks of a game that didn’t live up to expectations, although there’s still time to convert me!
Has anyone heard of this? It sounds a bit like V1, just based in the real-world and they charge a lot (in my opinion). Basically it costs nearly 7k + VAT to do some laps in a saloon car. The best drivers go into a final, with the prize being a Formula BMW drive for next season with Raikkonen Robertson Racing. By my rudimentary calculations they have raised enough money from entry’s to fund the seat, but what I find more worrying is their plans for the winning driver’s future. In short, it may involve giving up 50% of your future earnings, so with the 50% tax rate in this fine kingdom of ours you wouldn't be left with that much. I know a young racing driver was on Dragon’s Den (a programme where investors judge people then decide if they want to invest in them) with a similar idea, plus Lewis Hamilton pondered a similar plan after his first year in F1 but neither example lead to anything.
It’s a feature that I haven’t seen in any other game (which would give LFS some sort of bragging rights), plus it’s what some F1 drivers utilise, for those lightening starts although those with a clutch pedal might complain!
I set a personal best of 1.15.78, then tried to update my stats by doing it online, but after this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mz9rXkK2XEM I decided to call it a day.
Sorry if this has already been asked (and answered), but does anyone know of a solution regarding the following:
1) Throttle sensitivity; if you go full throttle for too long at low speeds (say when entering or exiting the pitlane), the throttle becomes hyper sensitive, with the slightest of touches resulting in it being wide open and the car becoming undriveable.
2) Steering pulling to one side; which I know other people have had (although it normally seems to be wheel specific), but my steering wheel's an original Xbox one, that I’ve had no similar problems with on any other games and frankly I’m getting tired of having to re-install LFS everytime this occurs.
Personally my interest in Live for Speed that I’ve had over the last few years’ starting the wane (maybe since last year when I saw the professionalism of nKpro).
