I love this game so much I've set up a little website and I'm going to be setting weekly or bi-weekly competitions. The website is still a bit messy whilst I am figuring WordPress out.
Any the first Competition is up and it would be great if some of you could enter.
I know there are a few technical people on here so I thought I’d ask this question here. Scenario: Two offices, A and B, in separate buildings. There is already a server in office A and a separate server in office B. Now there is a database on office A’s server that needs to be accessed by office B. What would be the safest, yet cost effective way, of sorting this out. The database will need to be accessed from a number of workstations in both office A and B. Also what would be the best way of doing this if neither office currently had a server. i.e starting from scratch. Thanks Andy.
I've bought things off ebay since 2003 and never had a problem. As long as you use your common sense you'll be fine. Just suspect everything and everyone and if your unsure about anything ask the seller and i'm sure Ebay have things in place that protect you to a certain extent.
I've got a Renault Megane now with 106000 miles and haven't had any major problems. I have a tiny power steering leak that needs topping up every few months and had to change a bulb at the rear.
Back to the question, i've been looking at getting a new car soon and from what I can see the belts need changing around 60k-80k for the majority.
There's no problem with a high milage car if it has been looked after well. If the service book can vouch for this I'd go for car 1 and get a phat zort and neons with the £1000
But seriuosly car 1 is the best option if it comes with all its history.
I quite enjoy playing CSS although it can get rather frustrating. For example when you clearly shoot someone in the head 3 times, they have bloody on their helmet but then you check the console and you haven't hit them once. Sometimes its because of the servers but even with 100 tick server this still happens.
Hacks are a pain but if you find the right servers which always have admins on (mines manx rats) then if someone does appear to be using hacks they are banned straight away. I don't think i've ever come across wallhacks, I myself have shot someone through doors or walls someone even shot me through the double doors in aztec but it was just pure luck. I've come across aimbots quite a few times but they are easy to spot because you die with 1 hs everytime and when you spectate them they appear to lock-on to someones head.
I'll be up for a game of css with you guys if you want.
Thanxs for the help Bob. I'll give a go tonight or tomorrow. Am I right in thinking that all Nlite does is replace the windows XP files, i.e. doesn't wipe anything off the HDD?
I've just had a look on the Nlite site and although I know a few things about PC's I don't know everything and there seems to be a lot of things that you can remove. Is it difficult to get your perfect setting or can you leave most things alone and still get XP running faster?
I've thought about using NLite before but i'm not sure if I should. I ahve too many things on my comp is risk loosing, is it stable and does it just install over XP?
If it does then I might install it because I could do with it when using Sonar as my computer can't take it when I have my Piano, Drums, Bass and Orchestra playing at the same time!
I've had my 360 since the launch and I've never had a problem with it. Just make sure everything has good circulation and give it a rest every now again.
Will you be getting the Elite because there is a rumour that next week (i think) there maybe another price drop on the 360, so just hang on a little longer.
A while a go on the Netkar forum he was talking about how he has tried putting bikes into the game, but he didn't have much luck. I came across this today and just wondered if it was real because I can't view videos here.
I went past a parked camera van that was in the middle of parked cars(sneaky w**k**S!) on Saturday. I was doing 32mph because it was slightly down hill and I was actually watching the road since I was going through a retail area and didn't want to run a little kid over. I wonder if I'll a nice letter from them. Best not!
On the Friday to Saturday I passed 3 parked speed cameras and 2 cameras that checked your details. What a wonderful world. Lucky I don't normally speed unless its national speed limit and I know the road then I have a little fun.
I think i'm going to pop into Jessops today in my lunchtime and see what I can get out of them.
The Fuji has a 0.01 second shutter-lag time and 0.8 second start-up time. To me that is super quick but I don't have much knowledge about other camreas. I've only heard good things about this camrea so I am most probably going to buy it I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't going to want to buy a DSLR in 2 months time, I guess not by the sound of things.
Well the fuji has a 10.7 optical zoom which is 28-300mm. I think it will be good enough to get me started and once i'm up to speed with everything i'll take the next leap. Thanks for the help.
So, I've always been into photography since I was young but I've never had the chance to do it properly. But i've decided it is time to start properly and I need some advice. My knowledge of cameras isn't that great so any help would be great.
Basically I've been looking at a particular camera (which was recommended to me by someone in a camera shop), it is the Fuji FinePix S9600. I went in asking about DSLR's and he said that I would be best starting off with a slightly simpler camera which is when he recommended the Fuji.
I've read many reviews on it and its had a lot of good praise but I was wondering if it will do or will I grow out of it quickly (with not being able to changes lenses). I'm off to the BSB in Oulton Park in a few weeks and that will be my first real attempt at photography so will the fuji do?
Btw I wouldn't really want to spend much more than £400.
I'm not that up-to-date with all this technology but isn't there a big problem with biodiesel (I may be wrong). Farming. Imagine if the majority of the world turned to using biodiesel how the hell are we going to farm all the vegetation (plus other things) that is needed? I'm pretty sure that I read an article a while back that even now some farms are struggling with the demand.
I have to agree on you with the noise though, even though it would be much nicer in the cities during rush hour. Part of going fast (or at least reving high) is the noise, it would just be plain boring in an electric car....
