jrd.racer: No, Im sadly not that good to draw from scratch, it's based on real photos, thats why i say it's easy and not true "art"
But im learning by this way and sometimes I create pics purely by myself and thanks to skills earned by copying I'm able to create better and better pics... and maybe one day, i will draw Evo X by myself :P
Yeah, i use that Pen tool, occasionaly Elipse tool Then i just set color from the bottom, remove stroke and then I correct the color with FILL AND STROKE panel (CTRL + SHIFT + F), you can also set alpha and gradients there too.
Actually, it's not that hardto create some drawing, Im just "copying" edges i want, few of their shades and reflections... after all vector work is done, i have to export it to bitmap and then add more reflections and shadows in PhotoShop via Burn/Dodge. There is comparison outlines/vector/ps after effects for example:
And btw, it's almost invisible on final image but all air-intake holes are vented and there is small "RalliArt" logo in front
Looks good I was drawing vector cars in PS too, that Skyline R32 in first post is PS, but then i tried InkScape and after couple of time it was way much easier and quickier to draw there. Now Im working on Mistubishi Lancer Evo IX, it's currently about 80% done (outline preview):
Klouczech: Ke 130tce nemam vlastni vztah, jako auto pekne ale vzhledem k tomu, ze mam Facko na zavody je mi blizssi... proste jen kreslim auta, ktery se mi libi nebo mam Chystam se ted nakreslit jeste Audi A4 '98 a pak mozna Sileighty.
NonCzech: Not interested in Skoda 130, I'm going to draw Audi A4 '98 and then Sileighty. I would like to try make that Audi in Illustrator to learn it, it's totally different in comparison to InkScape.
This is my latest work, took > 20 hours (maybe im just slow O_o). For me it's best work i ever did in vectors. All completly made in InkScape, nothing else, no PS.
First attachment - 1080p version
Second att. - wire version, in case somebody find that interesting
Hi there. Im back with another car draving. I stopped working at that FD, but i recently made an vector drawing of one of my cars engine. It's Skoda Favorit stock with a few parts from newer Skoda Felicia engine.
I've got this second car for amateur rally racing, which is quite popular in our country and although it's only 1.3 50kW it's a very light car and for beginners easy to repair (together with very very cheap part prices). This picture is from stock engine with only sport air filter mounted, by this time it looks different, but most of czech people are familiar with this stock version
SORRY, BAD FORUM, PLEASE MOVE TO "OFF-TOPIC", THANKS
Hello racers,
there is oncoming Gran Turismo 5 voting about feedback to the game on fansite gtplanet.com. Yeah, i know that you might not be interested in voting in game you do not play, but i would like to ask you for a small favour I would realy like to see the Skoda cars in that game, so i created a vote thread and im looking for votes... for vote you just need to fill your email or login to your facebook account, then you can give up to 3 votes to one thread.
If you would like to help me a bit, or you like the Škoda cars... or eventually you play GT5 and you want to see it in the game... please vote =) ... if not, do not post how stupid this is and any other "knowledge", i could imagine them already.
Thank you With each vote you save one little kitty.
Voted... i think that this round pretty sux, sorry but i just wont to enter because of two things...
1. Theme was not described well, I don't know what to exactly do. So i rated by % of distance to the theme and overall look. But most of the pictures were either ugly but in theme or not in theme but nice.
2. Just like in first point, i have to notice theme again, i don't like it as skiper has described it. Those example pictures seems at least crazy to me. When i look at skiper's "OH AWESOME, ALREADY WON RULEZZZ PWN PICTURE" (as many posted (imho this will absolutely make me feel like its useless to post any other pic...)) i just do a facepalm, ok fine, he like this, i know it was hard work to do and i believe that it is nice for him and other else but i really don't like this candy-blur-reliefing or wth is it...
nice one overall but there is a big fail on that mirror reflection... car is almost on the top of hill but cam pov is way lower so the ground reflection should have different ratio of height.
