my insurance on the previous motor (dohc sierra) was 2.6k third party. first policy in my name, no ncb and 6 points. took the policy out lastyear when i was 20.

just had the policy amended as i sold the sierra and got a bmw 318i. as i was already in the middle of a policy and cant really go anywhere else atm they robbed me of 432 pounds to amend the policy. so all in thats 3k now.

now that im 21.. when this policy expires i will have 1 years ncb, it wont be my first policy and it will drop to about 2.2k.

i dont have a rwd car with "the stig" on my number plates for nowt ya know

saying that i know when to and when not to. in my years of driving/assclowning on the roads ive only even been caught once doing something silly... and i got let off (...just). if you must then atleast make sure possible surprises are at a minimum and no one is around.

another thing to think about besides someone pulling out on you, tyre blowing at high speed, hydroplaning, other people losing it, animals running out and all that fun stuff.. theres also the small fact that if you constantly rag your car your going to have to repair your car more often. ive had my dohc sierra for about half a year. in that time ive popped the engine twice, first i rebuilt it, second the bottom end went so now moving on to another dohc before the knock turns into a rod punching a hole in my block. last but not least.. if your out acting like gods gift to the automobile and you crash infront of all the petrolheads how big of a numpty would you look like then? been there done that, not fun and usually not cheap. remember there is no pit button in real life

i want to add some of the narrow style pop up lights to my skin (i know the lights dont actually pop up) but i was thinking i could find a pic with the suitable lights and "borrow" them. the problem is.. unlike when your playing the game, when editing the skin i cant see where the outline of the lights are on the front so i havent got a clue where to put the lights.. is there an easy way round this or is it trial and error?

i own a rwd and a fwd car. fwd can drift its just a bit different and harder to get right. as for entering the corner and going sideways the full way and possibly linking another in after the trick is to be coming in to the corner on the limit of grip (a little understeer in say 3rd gear) then plop down in to 2nd and maybe dab the brakes and lift off the throttle, this should carry the rear out and you counter and hey presto. as for linking another thats even more tricky you could tap the handbrake or if your still sideways from the forst corner and the second is the other direction floor it so the front end grips suddenly and flicks the back around then lift off again.

you also dont need knobblies on the back to drift, just higher pressure rear and lower front and a very stiff rear anti roll bar to promote lifting the inside rear wheel.
