That is an overview of the capability of the chipset in your graphics card.

You would need the next generation cards with R200 chipsets in such as an 8500 for AA and AF but they will be terrible slow. The 7500 is not wanting to be rude ancient.

Can you not find £30 or £40 for a modern low end graphics card or even an older xt850 or Nvidas equivlant they are so much faster they will make your nipples spin.

I assume though that you will only have an AGP x 1 socket so you would have to check for compatibility.

I flicked through this thread as im on lunch. Is this the carting track in Middlesbrough Bob. Certinally looks like the post apocolyptic aerial shot of the area.

I can walk to that track i'll read up some more but you can count me in. Problem I have is that i don't forum much just IRC so hardly anyone will know me (for the first ten minutes).

Why not just go the middle ground. Get a good PC with a decent enough graphics card to support a 24" LCD at 1920x1200 16:10
My monitor supports HDCP so I could if I wanted watch bluray etc from windows or play games at hi-res. All failing this then get a cheap pc with a cheapie sempron and play lfs with low graphics at adequate frame rates on a small resolution get a console and medium tv.

Hi the ram wasn't running at DDR 600, that was just its rated maximum (Gskill LA). The speed it was running during that benchmark was 518Mhz. I had the graphics quality (driver settings) at minimum and I was running the test with the standard max or min settings.

I haven't ran LFS for quite a while as a mixture of real life and lack of second monitor for the gaming pc. However, I will do what I can to prove that the posted time is genuine. I have little interest in defrauding the system.

What I will say however, is that one of my MSN contacts has nigh on the same system as myself, and his system fails to perform in comparison to myown. Which is a similar story to my old overclocked p4 (3.3ghz) system with one of the graphics cards it featured (ati 9800 pro..demo days). However, the Gf4 TI 4800 was super quick. LFS just seems to be odd sometimes.

I found that when I used that when I used Vsync every time the fps moved from 75hz to 50hz or whatever the next increment was it dropped to it felt like a moment of lag. So I plumped for leaving it off. I usually run the game at high res with max settings on everything.

Isn't that one of the Force Dynamics seats as well?

I possibly could have got a somewhat higher score if I ran it at super voltage for a few more mhz, but I was more interested in posting at a speed that I used everyday. The graphics card was non overclocked, although my ram was running some decent timmings as it was Gskill rated at ddr 600, think it was running around cas2.5 at 520mhz or something

I no longer have the water cooling system, I now use a zalman 120mm jobbie, I have only lost a few hundred MHZ, but now have no northbridge cooling (decent cooling), however my Gcard remains the same before with an IceQ cooler on it.

Smartshader is an option in the ati driver options panel, you can access them through display properties..........

Have they removed it or moved it in the later driver versions, I can't find it now........

What sort of HP Performance do you get at the moment, I imagine that its handling is only adequate on tarmac, so why do you want monster horsepower?

Don it wasn't and hour I kickbanned you for, it approx 5 minutes. You can discuss whatever you like from cameras to other aspects of LFS and non LFS and you have done so for a number of years. The reason why I briefly kick banned you was that I asked you to stop the conversation, as it was barely a discussion and more like a silly argument, you both kept using the same viewpoint over and not actually getting anywhere. I pm'd you just after I did this and you never replied Carporoxx.x.x.. whatsit did and he returned soon after I removed the ban (your bans where both removed at the same time). As I also said in PM it wasn't personal I just didnt want the only topic in the room being a silly argument that was drawing more people into either side for what I felt was nothing more than just trolling.
