Hi,
I guess you mean the unlocking keys, not the voucher code.

Just wait to the next month,
every 1. it will filled up with one new spare key
up to the max of 2.

If you buy a MS with FF take care that y get one with USB.
with gameport and xp maybe you get more trouble than now.

but i think that you can`t install the 4.0 driver (no-admin) is a windows problem.
because you can install a usb driver without connected hardware.
probably you can`t install the FF driver also.
did you run any win-tweak software in the past, like "Tuneup utility" or similar?

hi,
y have a USB or gameport non FF wheel?
if USB, you can install a sidewinder 4.0 driver.
did it some weeks ago on a friends pc and work fine with separate axis.

But its a other one than the 4.0 with FF.
at least the gui looks different, i guess its a different version /installer.
we use a original cd comes with the wheel.

if needed, i can try to get the files to upload them
but it will need some days.

grats to your new "toy"

Quote : P.S. What is hvs?

hardware vertex shading
some transistors in the chip made for a speziall job.
The GF2 / GF4mx were the last nvidia without this feature.
also standard in ati cards for a long time.

In LFS you can set it on/off in options/graphics to see the performance difference.

nice that y have a tree where the money grows,
in this case y are of course excused that you dont know the difference between low and high prices.

nope sea, thats wrong.

his gf4mx doesn`t support hvs
so its for sure the bottleneck.
and a 9600 should give a performance boost for his system
not only in LFS, probably in all other games too.

yep, P2 and win-xp on amd-xp with barton core.
but i know this since demo times 2.5 years ago
and had some hardware changes over the time.
i have a own win-game-install were i disable every unnessary things,
so nothing in backround.

to be honest, i never thought it was on my side because
mostly others have probs at the same time too (disco).
i will try it with less ram and with disabled replays next days
to see whats happens.

edit:
normaly it was one very small lag before the connect bars go back down,
similar to the old pit lag.

sounds logical that is client side with the mpr stash,
but why mostly someone else disconnect at the same time?
is it maybe some "bytes" from the server are wrong
and messed it up for everyone, most survive it, some not?
possible?

since a short time I have 1 GB ram, before 512.
duno if its better with more ram, never compare it really.
"MP replay out of stash space"

normaly it starts with rising conect bars, up to 50% from the screen
mostly someone else disconnect and the error message come up
afterwards the connect bars go down and all works as normal.
the hole process is about 4-8 sec. long

i know this message very well since old demo times
it change a bit how often i see it,
from 2-3 time per hour up to once in a week.
never had the prob that i lost the connect myself.

other experience?
anyone knows what "MP replay out of stash space" means?
is it a client failure, server side or a bug?
every else info is welcome

port 80 is the default port for internet(http?), if you can see a website its normally open.

if unlocking still failed it probably because LFS didn`t use the http-protocol for unlocking (duno what LFS use)
and your firewall/proxy didn`t allow other protocols here.

normaly you can change gameport settings in the device-manager/properties/ressources
but if I look at my audigy2 gameport i can`t change anything.
looks like a limitation from the soundcard. duno, never use it.

damn I forgot that 3.02 install doesn`t work under xp, sorry my fault.
you can install the SW 4.0 for the usb ff-wheel
duno if it helps, but should be worth a try.

if that failed try other soundcard/ gameport drivers.

overall I have not to much hope to get it work properly.
what MS said to xp, gameport and drivers (german)
http://www.pcgames.de/?article_id=36653
not the best news, but thats why MS-gameport wheels so cheap on e-bay. ;(

other options:
-win98/ME
-maybe(!!) with a pci gameport card or other soundcard
-buy a wheel with usb device

arrg, gameport and xp is often a tricky combination.
did it work in other racegames?
which driver have y installed for the wheel, 3.02?
and did it work in the gamecontoller settings?
whats if you didn`t change the buttons in LFS

yea, lot of questions but i hope to get closer to the failure with it.

besides that, if your mobo has a own gameport try this one also.

hy
strange problem, what wheel do you use?
did it still work with the default buttons?
can you post a sreenshot after you change the buttons.

save the LFS/dat/misc folder for each xp after y unlock it.
then y need only to change the misc folder to get it unlocked
after you change your xp-install.
maybe with a small batch file in the autostart.

LFS main folder\ cfg.txt search for a line

set it to 1 and unlock should work behind a firewall.

Quote : Check the bigger flight sim retail websites. The often run specials and combos for the Track IR.

or maybe at the LFS site
If you have a LFS license
you get a 30$ discount if you buy it via
https://www.liveforspeed.net
(click on license status, top right)

afaik, it works also through some european shops this way.

if i compare it with the other results in the benchmark
your system should run much faster with LFS.
like the guy with the amd 1500+/gf5200 with a average of 62 frames
i would aspect your celeron 2000/ati 9000 close to this.
maybe a bit slower but not that much.

some settings are left they are not in the cfg.txt
these settings are in the card_cfg.txt
or in game -> options/grafics.
attached pic should show your settings,(not sure with the z-buffer)
the "hardware vertex shading" and "simple track" has a big performance influence.
play a little with it and look what happend.

last is the sound, disable it with shift-n in game
or better in windows device manager or bios if its a onboard sound.

did you run the benchmark in a new LFS install?

if so and the above settings didn`t help, it`s to 99,9 % not LFS where the probs comes from.

so then your pc and/or windows left as the guilty parts
thats a bigger task to find the fault,
first look, make sure AA and AF is disabled.

if all doesn`t help we need some more infos about you pc,
maybe you can attach a system-report?

try the LFS Benchmark
http://lfsbench.iron.eu.org/?c=instructions
post the result from both (min & max cfg.txt) test here.
and also the content of your card_cfg.txt. located in the lfs main folder.

depending of the result we can see where the probs come from,
LFS or windows/your system.

edit:
maybe run the test in a fresh install,
just unzip LFS in a new folder. no unlocking for the test needed.
