Hi, my shoulders - pain forced me to give up on online racing a long time ago. There is only one exeption: when the SCIROCCO comes on LFS, which I am still waiting for. (No matter if the fuel consuption is faked or not) - I WANT MY SCIROCCO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2008 to today ist 6 years of selling licences. I can perfectly understand that, it´s also (still) worth that money.
If I look at Iracing, which is incredebly expensive (and I drive too little to spend that much), LFS was allways at a GREAT price! And I allways stated that I would also pay for extra content (as I playes soo many hours).
I never asked for a new tyre model.
I would have liked to receive the scirocco and rockingham, the one or the other way....
Project C.A.R.S & F1 2013 (Not much going on on the prokect cars servers, f1 2013 is more buisy, I find racing intense on this socalled arcade game...)
Forget about it! LFS is dead. Come over to Steam, purchase Project CARS from Slightlymad Studios and come for 2013-type racing. The game is still under development, but You can expirence a new patch every week or so.

Hi there!
I have a new computer. I could transfer the car-setups and the skinns.
But how/where can I find the file with my personal chat-hotkey configuration? Do You have an idea? TNX, Dandy
My secret theory is, that nothing big is in the oven of the devs.
There is not s3 in the pipeline and the physics, (come on!) are beeing announced for YEARS now, but no beta-testing or anything like that is in question, was never in question.
They are finde with selling a fiew hundret extra licences and that is about it.
They were looking for sponsors in the automibil-industry, but it did not work out all that fine, and now that the game is graphically outdated, there isn´t much that can be done...
I still somehow hope I am absolutely wrong, and they suddenly come up with some S3, content, cars, tracks, Night-vision, ladder-system, stuff & real life events, professional public relations that deserve the name and so on.
But nothing has change, exept a saftey patch and a open all tracks patch in about 6 YEARS! That´s eternal in the computer-gaining-world!
Besides the extremely great netcode the BIGGEST SECRET of LFS used to be the livelyhood of the community.
The system of the dedicated servers that can be joined while racing is on and have not to be left between the races (like project CARS) is the REAL great thing about LFS.
Without the people playing in the hundrets not enough servers are active to keep up this incredible feeling of choice, that used to be there some 5 years ago.
I am just saying, that ONE car and ONE new track as the new LFS-content,
without any perspective in therms of S3 and therefor a living LFS-community, will not be enought to keep this szene alive, as it once was.
The bad public relations of the DEVS only lead to one conclusion:
There is absolutely no development in the pipeline. That´s the impression I have.
For the moment I don´t play LFS any more (like most of our team-members)
We need rather many new courses and cars.
If someone just got started he/she will find:
1. Best netcode in the world
2. Great logic Interface
3. Community impelentation
4. low tech - high performance hardware requirements
5. Individualized skinning
I was asking myselft about online-racing for a long time, since i liked playing online strategy such as Command&conquer... but everybody i asked said that such a thing would not work properly yet.
THEN, in about march 2005 a saw a demo with the XRT on Blackwood S1 DEMO and PINGO.
I joinend, got me a wheel soon, joined a team (Crash Daddys) that became Zone 30 soon and drove some 300000km+ online.
I still like this game, and I used to love it, but after all these years I feel like I am ready to BUY me some extra content. Cars & Tracks.
Nowadays I like to jump into one of these great ProjectC.A.R.S online races, it is still beta, but there are several updates every week!
Work in Progess, a growing community and much more. Besides this I like driving F1 2012 as well, I know it´s more arcarde, but after all it works online and nothing dirves on it´s own there as well.
If some LFS - development will be showing up - I will be showing up again as well! promise
I have been naging a lot on this forum about progress, but now I am buisy with the alternatives...
