Thanks guys
Glad to know its not just me who is affected by this.

In fact I have found that the racing behaviour on CTRA (with very occasional exception) is generally very good. Each time I get 'blatted' in this way, I record it and then watch later. In almost every circumstance when I think that it might be the fault of another driver, it turns out that there was no one really to blame. No -really!

(Obviously there are also the usual racing incidents which do occur and which you have to accept or report but this thread is not about those).

It's just one of those things I guess.

Anyway, see you all out on the track soon.

Cheers

Has anybody else had a gentle nudge from another player and then been thrown around as if you you've been hit by a train! I have had this quite a few times, and twice today (1 recorded if anyone wants to see it).

I love LFS (especially CTRA) so am not knocking it at all, just..could there be a bug or something? I have version X10. Should I download it again? Would this help?

And it's not doing much for my finished race stats.

Minor rant over.

Hi All

What about a second server for CTRA1 that is only available for use by Silver and upwards?

This would mean that the better/experienced drivers who enjoy driving the XFG and XRG can still have these available to them, the standard of driving on that server will be better overall and those like me who are gaining points/experience will be able step up that much quicker. It would also free up space in the 'standard' CTRA1 server.

At the moment I like the close racing that those two cars allow and wouldn't want to lose the use of them in a higher server.

Hi Becky

I was a couple of cars behind you on one race last night and the car in between seemed to be targeting you (or maybe just playing with you?). So I think you were right to be frustrated.

Similar to SpikeymarcoD, I tend to hang back at the start, let the middle field do their thing and then chase, usually ending in around 7th place. Suits me. I know I am not fastest and I try not to hold anyone up (well maybe not always!). But I do enjoy the racing (obviously).

But in his opening email Dark Times talked about the language used and although at times this can be humourous - I like omg, noob, etc but I hate the seemingly now normal use of the F-word (or the shortened versions which bounce around in your head). I realised that this going to happen when going multiplayer - but it still annoys me. Apart from allowing the system to work only with a set of phrases I don't see that you can do anything about this but....

Anyway, still love the game. CTRA is still the best. Keep up the good work.

CTRA - I am simply loving it. The fact that there are some bad or wild drivers doesn't really bother me (or if it does I log off or go to one of the other CTRA servers). If I am pushed off the track or simply lampooned I tend to just ignore it or send a smiley face and generally get a good response back. If its my fault, I generally let the driver pass at first opportunity. Collisions do happen, some drivers are more forceful than others but this is all part of the joy of racing.

What I do like is seeing the really good drivers and trying to learn from what they do.

I think it works well.

Well there's my two pennys worth.

Me too, 4 girls & a boy. Youngest is nine months old but sits on my lap (has done since about 3 months) and steers. I am sure she will be quite formidable by the time she is 5. The others all dip in to LFS now and again, but have no staying power (though I do encourage them to have a go). The nursery facility sounds great and I'll get them to try it out this weekend (if it is up).

At 45 (yikes) years old I often feel that I should be doing something more 'useful' with my time, but then I see the wheel, the pedals, the screen ...and ....well you just know what happens ...."I'll be five minutes darling". At 1 o'clock in the morning having been on LFS for ...some considerable time....I finally switch off and go to bed.

I am not one of the fastest (or even close) but LFS gives me soooo much pleasure. It is great to be part of this long term project. All credit to the developers.

Cheers
