they are pretty much, sharpened/contrast/shadows and other light enhancements.. fair enough if 'edited' implies more towards actually adding elements, my bad ;D
Looking forward to the forthcoming teaser ;D Would also like to thank you for your commitment to this project and enhancing the experience for countless LFS players!
Redbull.. Rockstar.. and finally - Vaughn Gittin Jr's Ford Mustang (Monster/Falken).
Alternated slightly from the original to make it a bit more interesting.
I alternated the design and layout of this car a little due to not wanting to replicate the other RS skins around. Presents its self nicely in-game, I think..
Based on Mad Mike's Team NFS Metal Mulisha drift machine. Due to there already being a few really good skins of this car made I decided to mix it up a bit, using the black/white solid body colours but not as they are on the real car + some added/repositioned decals.
What kind of team are you looking for?: Drift/Design. Age: 21. Country: New Zealand. Preferred Car/Track: XRT/FB Gold Rev. Average Laptime on Your Preferred Car/Track: N/A. How Active Are You? Very, play and design for at least a few hours every night. What Kind of Control do you use? G25 Time Zone: GMT+12 (Auckland)
My ideal team would be a close knit (semi casual) drift/racing team with emphasis/interest in design. I'm relatively new to LFS but have been interested in graphics/web design since I was 14-15. Currently I spend 70% of my time on drift servers because it's a readily available source of casual/social fun but am definitely looking to race competitively as I improve my driving.
My interest in design began playing Motocross Madness 2 online, skinning bikes for MCM2 worked on the same concept as LFS car skins - set canvas size and divided into panels. I loved the concept of creating something of my own externally and then using it internally in-game. I started producing websites for teams I created and was a part of, starting from geocities.com website-builder templates and then progressed to designing layouts in Photoshop and importing them in Dreamweaver, slapping a couple of iframes in there and linking my crudely sliced navigation links to their respective pages - I loved it ;D After the MCM2 era I maintained an interest in design, mainly focused on website layouts which eventually translated into learning some basic HTML/php and growing comfortable with the software I was using and have been manipulating/creating/experimenting ever since.
Ever since purchasing my G25 I'd been looking for a sim that was.. well, a proper simulation. Just recently after trying the LFS demo and discovering how much fun and openly accessible it was (I could skin like I did in the MCM days!) I proceeded to purchase a S2 license, and have been enjoying it since.
Just put something together because I've always loved the artwork Gein (DnB producer) does, works really well in game in my opinion. First time doing an XFG skin, enjoy and feel free to leave comments/suggestions.
edit: ah!! I see what I did, used the XR GTR shadow kit on the XRT template, haha! could've been worse, it actually looks kind of (a lot) cooler having the GTR shadows on the XRT imo..
Not sure how to take the fact that it looks like a copy paste job, I assume you don't think I actually did a copy-paste job because it was all just brushes and a shitload of duplicated layers (not that the ZY one wasn't, haha). But yeah I can see where I think you're coming from, looks and feels a bit like a plastic shell.
My first two LFS skins though so I'm quite pleased with how they turned out, really enjoyed working on them and will definitely start a few more projects soon.. next one I want to actually work with the physical representation of the car body (within the wireframe boundries) rather than just layin' on visuals. Cheers for the feedback anyway ;D
** updated to feature v2 of Floral and also added my Zoo York XRT - both .jpg files are attached **
Reworked it a little bit, added a little grunge effect to help minimise the 'plastic' look/lined up bonnet graphics and added a copper/gold exhaust tip ;D
