If all teams could check if their team is listed on the tracker with correct drivers on http://mastersofendurance.eu/tracker/ if not please PM or contact me (kas @ #moe)
Splitting up the grid is imo a missed opportunity to have a full gt1 grid. With 27 gt1 cars there will be enough action and fighting on the track. Splitting up the grid (although undetermined) will most likely get the same amount of gt1 teams as last season, and considering there were allot of teams eager to get a spot in the series... IMO its just nicer to use the increased slots to get more competition in the same class, rather then splitting it up. The handicap feature will already give more variety on the grid. Imo MOE should stay as a GT1 only series whereas LFSGT is multiclass.
Of course with everything not being finalized yet (patch and MOE plans) its just first thing that came to mind
Awesome coverage It took quite a while for it to get online, but it was definitly worth the wait. I cant image how much work this must have been. Anyway, thumbs up for all those involved making it
Could you pls elaborate why a carpool based system would not work, or why you are against it ? Let teams fill out their carchoice per race before the season starts. Could also get interesting on a strategic point imo, furthermore there's plenty of (car-) practise time between races ?
Anyway, seems to me (also cosidering the post of Alex-Ger), to be quite sure that you will be getting a mixed field is unrealistic with the limitations there are. And i think any point-system will still result in a not-so-mixed-field. Since many of the point-based suggestions all seem to have some sort of downside.
So how much more time will there be for suggestions, setting and end-point and finalizing the system being used (poll ?), might be a good idea so teams can fill out there application and everyone can prepare for their race.
It was ok i think, i missed the beginning, but what i heard was ok Had some laughs about ppl in the background :P Anyway perhaps join irc channel to get some team information when a race gets a bit boring.
Why ? Imo it's fair. Possible FZR will be most likely chosen for 24h race for double points but that's teams decision then. Dont have to deal with all special algorythems for figuring out points etc
What i was thinking to give points out in there respectable class. So best FZR and XRR and FXR gets 25 points, 2nd best FZR, XRR, FXR gets 21 points, etc.
1 Bonus points for fastest lap ( likely to be FZR )
1 Bonus points for pole ( likely to be FZR )
FXR, XRR receive 1 bonus point for every FZR behind them on results
Just a though didnt really thought it through But everything heavily depends on the cars that subscribe i think.
Although netkar flatspot feedback was good, i hope this type of effect doesnt get into lfs, atleast not as severe as in netkar. Looked like it was trying to demolish my wheel with that effect.
Working pretty nicely, a bit slower then with profiler but i guess its just the cycle time when script commands are being taken care of. Anyway it seems that the scripting doesnt work on replays. I tested it only with the following: set my buttons to press F9-12 (button X = CTRL+F9 and CTRL+F9 = /press F9). When im driving or speccing online it works perfectly, on replays however it doesnt.
Would it be possible with this "script" to bind F1 with command "/run greenflag.lfs" to let it run commando's in sequence from greenflag.lfs which should contains something like:
/rcm GREEN FLAG !
/rcm_all
/say GREEN FLAG !
Ifso \o/ if not, might be nice
Secondly, what i would really like is to make a script that would remap buttons on my wheel the minute im in the F12 screen. To reconfigure my directional-button on my wheel to simulate the arrow keys so i could control the pit-menu (f12) with my directional-button only. Would be nice if F9-F12 would be configurable to wheel-buttons anyway from within LFS so i wouldnt have to use profiler (but perhaps this is already configurable with the /btn command).
So basicly to add "events" like "pit-menu" altho it might not really be an event trigger.
Other events like "pit-in", "pit-out", "low-fuel" would be nice aswell.
Has been an interesting race with the safety car situations. I was really looking forward to it just to see what would happen =)
Had some good fights around the track, was unfortunatly hit on a crashing XFR which made us pit once more and had a minor incident with an FXR which just came out of the pits. Apart from those moments i didnt really had the same problems with other drivers as some of you had. Most GT1 drivers were pretty patient and its allways a compromise for both racers.
