After some months not playing LFS, I started again one of these days, and I've got the same problem. The screen turns off while racing.
It's a temporary solution, but in stead of telling people to turn off the screen powersaving we should ask the devs for a solution, as the problem belongs to LFS not being able to "hold back" the screen poweroff.
So please, scawen, whenever you can, spend some minutes trying to fix this problem, as it is very annoying.
Oops, sorry, I tried to edit the post earlier this afternoon, but it seems it didn't save...
I edited it because I solved the problem, I reinstalled the drivers (the installation hanged when looking for devices) and it is working perfectly now.
I love it I'm having so much fun trying to be fast (I am quite slow atm) and the feeling is very good.
It calibrates itself, it is doing it right now, I am reinstalling profiler. I add a new exe and launch it with the profiler, and I set the options like some ppl said in this forums.
I think this happened to me before with a rumblepad I have from logitech, but I don't know how I fixed it.
That is the problem I am having, I find the wheel a bit hard to turn with FF activated in game, but I get no effects, it seems like FF is not working at all.
The DFP is new, arrived today. Anyone can help me please?
Ok ok... DAMN IT... I'm starting to buy it now, in a couple of minutes I should be appearing as S1... ejem, 2 liscensed, and then I have to go to the uni and I won't be able to play until 22h or 23h ggggg.
Mmmmm, I can't really read Michelin on those F1 tyres, maybe someone can.
Anyway... please, release the patch soon, my DFP will arrive tomorrow or so, and as soon as the patch is released I'll buy the game, so if you want another liscensed driver (I've had enough demo races) release the damn patch!!!
We are in holidays in Spain this week, so I could earn a little money fixing some computers and I know now where it all is going to be spent in: DFP + S2Alpha once the patch comes out. Shame I have exams in 2 months time.
Currently I am not in front of my "big" computer, so I can't test if the game runs smooth now, but I can see no reference at all to the game problem in the release notes. Let's hope they missed up typing it... If anyone tests it please tell
Hi, I think it's possible to use 3 monitors on a non Parhelia system. You "just" have to own an ati card and a motherboard with an ati chipset.
I think I read that having that combination you can use all the outputs from the graphic card plus the one from the mainboard, so you could have 3 different outputs.
Investigating a little bit would be a good Idea, but I don't even have time to play LFS right now so...
I'm running on a P4C 3 GHz HT enabled. x800xt 256mb 2GB DC PAT Before .12 i got above 100 fps, after .12 I got below 20. For someone that said that had a cli.exe error... I think it's because you have no .net framework installed.
Good, I hope things keep moving on so we can finally impulse ATI to fix that damn issue If ATI successes to fix the problem... whenever they do... I will finally buy the game. I've finally earnt some money this christmas, losing my holydays but I've got something to live with so...
HT simulates two cores, so we could say you (and I) have dual core systems, for catalyst dirvers at least. Since CAT .12 HT and Dual Core are supported, and we have to think that HT "works the same" as DC, but Squelch is right, we should try playing LFS with CCC uninstalled. I think it's a good control panel, but I preferred the old CP, but this is not an option since .12 so this may also be the problem. I think it's due to dual core configurations, although LFS uses only one core this could be affected by CAT drivers. Merry christmas from Spain.
