Here's my situation.

I have a Dell Laptop, Nvidia 8400MGS, 2.4 GHZ Core2Duo, and 4GB of RAM so I should be good in terms of being able to run it with two displays.

My laptop's monitor can do 1920x1200 (However I play at 1440x900 on account of frame rate lag) and my second display can do 1280x1024.

My secondary display is placed to the left of my laptop and I think it would be nice if I could get it to be used as looking left permanently so I wouldn't have to use the look feature (as I use RHD and when checking mirrors I had to look over, quite a pain).

I am willing to run the game in 1280x1024 on my laptop's display if I could get it to stretch over to my secondary display. However, every time I try to do it instead I get a mashed up and super distorted game on just my primary display.

So what kind of settings do I need to set to get this sucker to extend over to my second monitor?

My 1.1 GHZ Dell with an ATI card from the stoneage was able to play it - why can't yours..

Try going down to 640x480 and turning all of the graphical settings off. Start from the BARE minimum and work your way up one setting at a time till you can find the culprit that's causing the slowdown.

LFS can run on pretty much anything pretty well - there has to be a setting set somewhere that's killing your gameplay. Usually reducing or turning off the anti-aliasing will solve it.

This is a racing SIM. In real life if some bozo hits you and flips you over then that's too bad, people will just have to start taking responsibilities for their own actions and start driving more carefully instead of acting like this is an arcade game.


For example: if in real life you get hit and flip (RIP my friend Cameron Goulette) there IS no reset button. You should be glad that Scawen allowed the reset in the first place seeing as how it is highly un-realistic to begin with... unless of course you'd like to code the crowd coming onto the track and helping you flip your back over like in rallies.

That's not entirely true, you could always release the software way early on deadline and have tons of bugs and glitches. :P

The LFS-shots will be saved in the shots-folder of the data-directory. I don´t know since which patch it works, but its relative new, in patch W works it already. LFS will just save BMP-files. You can just convert all the BMPs to JPGs with one click, use for this just Easy Thumbnails .
