Have any of you wished that those barriers were removed on the long circuit so you can actually go to those cities on the signposts?
How cool would it be if you're driving on that highway and there wasn't a barrier at the end and you can go flat out on the highway towards the next city?
Doing a circuit around South City, then driving to the next city (several kms) and doing a circuit around that city also sound like it would make some epic online matches!
I downloaded the "rev6-S2U" pack and I put them into the setups folder, but when I start the game I can't select them (they're not in the setups list for any of the cars). How come?
I also noticed that when he was doing the slalom, it looks more grippier than in LFS. I think LFS could use a bit more realistic grip from the tires, right?
Nice vid BTW, it's great to see how realistic LFS really is (apart from the grip from the tires).
I would like to see more realistic gear ratios that the cars would have in real life. A good example is the XFG. In 5th gear, at 100 km/h it does 5000 RPM (on the default "road" setting), how is that even close to reality?
Some cars like the RAC have pretty realistic ones because they rev pretty low.
LFS seriously needs some more road cars, especially more with bigger engines (V6s, V8s. V10, V12s). Please Devs, stop making more race cars and focus on road cars.
LFS really needs a V8 muscle car (something like a Mustang or GTO/Monaro) that can compete with FZ50, LX6, and RAC.
Also, a couple of supercars that can compete with each other ( maybe like Ferrari F430/599, and Lambo Gallardo/Murcielago.)
Also, how about a car that can compete with the XFG and XRG (something like a small sedan/saloon would be fun).
LFS needs more sedans and larger cars also, I don't care if they aren't sporty or not, they would be fun.
I think I figured out the problem. I noticed this only happens when my AVG anti-virus scan is running. Also when this crash happens my monitor starts to make "cracking" noises before it crashed.
Anyway, do you think the AVG scan takes up so much memory that it disrupts games like this? It only takes up around 69 MB of RAM and I have a total of 1.5 GB.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to reduce the memory usage of my PC? When I look at the task manager processes, I delete such things as "ipod service" and "itunes helper." Are there any other useless programs robbing my system's memory?
I haven't made any drastic changes, but this started to happen about a week ago.
Yesterday I installed another game (Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow) and when I try to play it, all I get is the audio from the game (menu works fine, until you start the game) and I have to end the game using the task manager. Then when I try to play it again, I get this message before the game starts up:
What does that mean? Something wrong with the drivers?
I need some help. LFS is crashing randomly. I'm playing and it the picture freezes, the sound goes into a repeated loop and then my monitor loses signal. Then I have to restart my computer and wait for the freakin disk check to finish!!!
On the Oval, the AI isn't too good because they break on every turn (they don't have to), that's why you're so much faster. Try racing the pro AI on normal tracks, they're pretty challenging.
I'm just wondering because it's been almost six months since patch Y came out and over a year since X.
Why are the patches so far apart these days? It was only a couple of months between W and X.
I hope the devs are hard at work and not vacationing on my money. Since the length of time between X and Y was so long (they made a whole new car) maybe patch Z will feature another whole new car or at least some kind of big update.
I just got a Logitech Driving Force Pro wheel and I want to know what's the best setting for LFS. I tried many different combinations and I couldn't get one that's just right.
Please post what I should set in the Logitech Profiler and in LFS itself.
I didn't ask for a Veyron. I just asked for something like a Veyron with a big engine. I think it will be quite fun to drive a Veyron-like car in LFS because it will be fast and easy with it's 4WD. Anyway my "proposition" is for the devs to include bigger-engined street cars.
I know these have been mentioned many times before but this is actually serious and the devs should ACTUALLY consider it. For S3, there should be more cars (10 more would be acceptable) and most of them should have bigger engines. There is a huge lack of big engines in road cars in LFS. There are too much 4-cylinders. I want to see more 6-cylinders, V8s, V10s, V/W12s and why not a V/W16 (Veyron )?
There are only two road cars with 6-cylinder engines currently (FZ50, LX6) and there should be more with even bigger engines and with more cylinders.
I know most cars measure fuel in percentage (with the gauge showing 0, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, 1). But when you're filling up, you don't get percentages, you get liters. This would just make LFS more realistic. Every car should have it's own slider that stops at it's maximum fuel capacity. Or you could use the same one and actually have fuel spilling out of the car because you put too much. LOL
As I said, each car should have their own slider that goes up to its own limit. For example, XF GTI has a tank that goes up to 45 L, so the slider would only go up to 45 L. If you choose the Formula V8 with a tank that holds 125 L, the slider would go to 125 L. Each car should have their own slider.
and do it with liters instead. I mean when your setting up your car, there's a scale from 0% (or 5%)-100% that you can choose for the amount of fuel that you want. How about putting a scale from 0 (or 5) liters-the maximum amount of liters the car's tank can hold? And while your racing of you press F12 you get a readout of how much percent of fuel you waste per lap and how much percent is left. I think it would be a lot more interesting to actually see the the amount of liters that are left in the tank and how much liters you waste per lap.
Can the Devs give any feedback on any cars in development? I would really like to see some new cars! Like a 70's V8 Muscle Car, and a modern V8 muscle car, a V12 supercar (a couple), and a some more stock "street cars" like I4/V6/V8-powered sedans and coupes.
How come the Devs never give out any info about what's in development?
Great news, but I am also a bit underwhelmed to see another single seater. I really do believe that more road cars should be included. And since the last two new cars were BMW, how about some M3s and M5s in the near future?
I just recently reinstalled my video card (software) and I have a new problem. Before, when I was in a car and alone on a track I was getting 100fps. Now I am getting 80fps with the exact same settings. And what does the LOD do?
My CPU ain't that bad (P4 2.6GHz). I won't get a new CPU because that'd just be wasting money because I already spent my planned budget on my PC upgrade. If I were to actually need a new CPU, I would buy a whole new computer.
