Since i picked up my S2 licence some time ago, I've managed to move house 6 times, get divorced, leave the armed forces and bury several family members.......

Same period of time LFS gets a couple of updates, there's only so many times you can run car x on track y before you can do it in your sleep.

Maybe my grand children will be playing S3.

I hope LFS isn't dead, or worse, becoming the driving equivalent of Duke Nukem but if it looks dead, acts dead and sounds dead.......it's probably dead.

Quote from sgt.flippy :It looks very nice, I think I might buy that game, I thought it wasn't that good, but it actually looks nice. Could anyone tell me how it exactly is?

Here's a quick summary of Enthusia:

The good:
Nurburgring
Car sounds
Physics - Very good but a bit too sympathetic to recovering oversteer
A.I - It has it's flaws but if you treat them like actual opponents rather than cornering aids they can give a good clean race.
The attention to detail put into each car resulting in each one handling very differently

The OK:
Graphics
Game structure - A bit bizzare but I strangely enjoy it.
GUI - A bit awkward but you'll get used to it

The bad:
Car setup - it just sucks, plain and simple
No car damage
Menu and ingame music
Really hard with a joypad - this game needs a DFP

To sum up, GT is a game that kids itslef it's a sim, Enthusia is a sim that kids itslef it's a game.

Buy it and enjoy.

Quote from Gunn :I thought the CRC taught people how to race cleanly? Banning him won't achieve that.

He was given LOTS of advice, about track behaviour, setting up his controls to suit him more, given set ups, etc....from myself and many other members, all of which fell on deaf ears, in the end we were left with no choice.

Quote from Clownpaint :This guy applied to join my team the other day, needless to say I turned him down. I didn't realise until yesterday he's the same guy who's been making all these fantastic posts on the forum, keep it up! COOL!

He also has a ban from the CRC website and the demo server for a complete lack of fundamental track awareness.

And for any GIMP users, by previewing the image when your exporting to JPEG, the file size is shown. By playing with tha advanced options you can easily get to just under 400kb to preserve the quality.
Too many clicks

Was browsing the connection list looking for decently full games when I got the message "Too many clicks - wait a minute".

If i wait nothing happens, if i click ok and continue browsing I get the message again. Only way to get rid of it was to refresh the connections list.

Very bizzare.

Quote from Sketchy :....engine over-rev damage.

Thats exactly what i'm talking about, it's this kind of damage from early downshifts or over revving thats fixed instantly, not damage resulting from any collision. I dont think this should be repairable at all, let alone repaired in zero time.

Sorry for any confusion caused by my initail post.
Engine damage and pit stops.

Not sure if this belongs in here but it seems the most relevant place for it.

When you damage your engine and make a pit stop the damage is repaired instantly with no timer or message like "MINOR/MAJOR DAMAGE".

I've done some experements and really knackered the engine to the point of not being able to use 2nd gear, pit, good as new.

Is engine damage even supposed to be fixed in the pits and was it intentional on the devs part to have it happen in this manner?

Just a couple of minor things I noticed on RallyX Green, at the apex of turn 2 and just before you enter the dirt section there are 2 patches of groung where the skid marks flash. Also on the last dirt corner there are some trucks on the outfield of the circuit, the rear of the blue one is inside a tree.
