I too am a Flight SIMMer. In a "Nutshell", I set TIR up so that my view stays on the screen. If I look to the left edge of my screen I am looking about 150 degrees to the rear, same right. Up I have set for 90 degrees and down is 45 degrees. A flight SIM profile is easy to build but takes a LONG time to refine. Racing profiles are much easier.
TIR for LFS I have removed the up and down. No need and it's Too much. I have slowed the motion way down from left to right. I leave "Move View With Animation" ON. It took just a bit of tweaking before I had what I feel was a good realistic match between the two. I really like it.
Gents,
Tomorrow is Memorial day in the USA. It is a day we honor those that have gone on before us. It is a day that we honor those that have given their lives for our country so that we may remain.....The "Land Of The Free".
As we are now a member of a very large International community, when we take our pause tomorrow, we will also remember the many brave soldiers and patriots from around the world.
Guys I am betting this young man is more like 12-14 which would tend to place him in the "allowance" category and without the ability to work. He is bright enough to know that school is the answer which is doubly enforced by his folks!
Tuff age to be! I am four times that and wouldn't want to be a "tweenie" again for nothing.
Yep agree! NASCAR background here too! So what motorsport has pitlimiters and how do they work? Never heard of such a thing and figured it was a in-game thing just for LFS.
I did actually stumbled upon it when I was setting up my wheel. Then I read the manual on it.
HeerBommel....I too enjoyed being on the track with you! Sorry to hear you can't continue. Here's hoping that Real Life affords you the opportunity soon again!
In my personal opinnion...LFS is way ahead especially when you add in PitSpotter, Ghostcar, Texture Mods (Clouds, track, pit, tyres, etc.). Be sure to try the Shift+U feature. S2 alpha is way a head of most all betas and certainly better than most available finals. Hey...what's in a name anyway??
That said I think the are missing the boat calling this an Alpha as it may scare many people away! It almost did me. I generally DON'T do alphas but it was a snowy cold day and..........
I am actually quite happy with the MSFF! I was just crusin' eBay and ran into this wheel. I could probabaly pick it up at a very good price so I was considering a backup! I also noticed there are NO MSFF Wheels to be bought anywhere.
I have a chance to pick up one of these wheels...used. Is anyone running this on XP?? Also, do the pedals diconnect from the system? I want to use my CH Pedals. I am currently able to do this with my MSFF Wheel.
