Happy Holidays, Shaun!

I'll be honest; I didn't read most of this thread. But it was cool to see some of these old names. I really couldn't say why I still visit these forums from time to time. I've lost hope of stumbling upon something new and exciting.

Quote from DavyC412 :it really looks like all he did was put the default skin over the default skin and multiply it. you can do that yourself very easily.

if you want to be hardcore, you can do it a third and fourth time to make it even darker!

But his is perfect. It's a brilliant masterpiece!

Yeah, they're pretty much just terrible.

In the meantime, I, like Corbin, have the feature disabled.

Quote from Juls :For the moment it looks like it is modeled as a simple mass/spring, as displacement is proportional to acceleration.

Damper is missing to have more realistic head displacement. After 5-6Hz, body response to vibration is lower. In ISI-based sims, there is a config file with realistic damper and spring constants for each DOF of the head.

Thank you, Juls! Where were you for my suggestion thread on this topic?

This is exactly the source of the problem. It's a problem everywhere -- not just on grass on curbs. Those surfaces just tend to exaggerate the problem. Give us a damper adjustment, and everything will be great.

Quote from Danny LFS :COmparison is here.

First, original default skin saw from the front.

Now, my default skin saw from the front:

If you look at both pics closely, you'll spot many differences between the original and mine.

Where can I download your skin?

I don't want it to shift less. I want it to shift less quickly. Am I really alone on this one?
Acceleration Shifts Viewpoint - Damping

I like using the "acceleration shifts viewpoint" options for a bit of force sensing enhancement. But there should definately be a damping option so the shift isn't sooo responsive and rapid. It tends to make it a little dizzy. It's like the driver's head has virtually zero mass.

Haha! The comment on that first YouTube video made me laugh.

I agree with this suggestion. The current sequence can be very startling.

What does that option do anyways?

Quote from Cue-Ball :I can't believe this is actually a request.

The cars in the game should not change their wheel rotation to match the users PC wheel. The FZ has 720* rotation as it should. Just because you use a controller with 270* rotation, that's no reason that the in-game car should change one bit.

It works exactly as it should right now, and should not be changed.

I can't believe you state opinion as if it's fact.

The content is already intact. The license enables you to "unlock" it so you can access everything.

Well it would definately be nice to have the option to change the maximum wheel turns in the LFS cars to match that of our game wheels. Non-linear or not, when comparing 270-degrees or rotation of a game wheel to 720-degrees in the game, at some point, the in-game wheel is turnig much more rapidly than the game wheel, and that can be very distracting. But it feels strange driving in the cockpit view without the wheel and hands visible, so I've resorted to a sort of over-the-hood view.

Quote from axus :That's what Wheel turn is meant to do, what do you think wheel turn does?

It may be a bug, but changing the "Wheel Turn" value doesn't seem to have any effect whatsoever visually

I was just about to suggest the exact same thing!

I quit using the cockpit view because it's very bothersome to see the virtual wheel turning so much more rapidly than my wheel.

I think the rule is that you can unlock it anywhere you want for you own use or for use on a LAN. Keep in mind that if he's using your information, whenever he decides to race online, you will be unable to.
