The debacle with TDU was a total joke, they totally released this game early becasue they were short of a bit of cash, it's funny because someone actually posted a link to vacancies at Eden games for a developer lol.

What does bug me though is that the PC version is just the 360 version botched to work on a PC.

When you look at LFS which was designed for the PC and then a title that was modified for the PC, it's like night and day.

I remember arguing with someone over DirectX, they were defending Atari sayig how hard it is to write software that works with all the different kind of hardware out there.

Its a war zone, but its so funny to be part of.

The guys 22 years old, already winning races. Fernando had the same car and wasnt able to do what Lewis did. The kids got speed, he's got flair and he likes a loose car. He's also not scared to have a go, a skill sorely missing in a modern day F1 driver.

It's also the reason why I gave a cheer to Sato when he did Fernando too.
Drivers like Kimi are only fast when they have clear air, I can't remember ever seeing him pass someone for position on the track. I think he's over rated.

Im super impressed with Lewis, I think he's been able to get more out of the Mclaren than Fernando has and his face on the 3rd spot told the story. I think the most over rated driver in the field is Kimi, the guys only quick when he's leading, even though he had a similar fuel load to Fernando, he wasnt able to keep up with Lewis. And I guess he drives cars harder as he broke his Ferrari again.

DC is impressing me at the moment, I thought he was on his way to retirement but all of a sudden he has a new lease of life! go DC lol.

Great, thanks guys, I thought i only had a finite number of unlocks before i would have to purchase it again. LFS did run for a week with the new CPU before it locked it self back to demo.

Anyway all sorted now, cheers.

After playing S2 for a number of months I was supprised to find out my game had reverted back to Demo yesterday. I was able to unlock it again but im not happy because it's used one of my unlocks and why did this even happen in the first place.

The only change my PC's had recently has been the uaual MS patches and the addition of a dual core CPU.

When I join a server and am in the pits waiting to join the track, I wont pull out into the pack, I will wait 30 seconds or so to make sure I join at the back of the field so I dont compromise anyones race. I hate to see the Blue Flag message and would rather not be in a position where i feel like im in the way.

Even a high spec PC can perform poorly if it's not setup right. I know im a bit of a snob when it comes to my PC but I have a seperate Games PC that only ever gets games installed and is rebuilt often. Its always run perfectly well apart from TDU where i have to drop the resolution and quality down.

AMD64 X2 4600+
1gb RAM
6800GT 256

The 6800 gt's overclocked to 411 mhz and LFS runs about 90fps and never drops below 70. I think the key is to have as little as possible running in the backgroud, I only have games on this box, no other apps that slow your system down.

Similar thing happend to me at the same FE chichane however this was a backmarker who refused to move over and tried to fight me going into the chichane, I had the line, he went flat out into the tires and one of those said tires took me out lol. Made a right mess of my UF1 as well.

It always makes me wonder how software houses can get away with writing such bad software, LFS is a testiment of what independent developers can do, I dont know how much TDU cost to write but once you scratch the surface of the pretty cars, you discover a clunky slow game thats not even really realistic.

LFS dynamics, TDU concept and GTA gameplay would be my perfect game lol.

Having raced carts and saloon cars for real, I tend not to be too agressive on sim because in RL, a tap could cost your a fortune to repair and when your budget is only a few k for a season, you can't afford any undue damage.

When racing in Sim however, you know to repair your car only takes a Shift-S, so people fly into corners and use you as a brake. If they thought they might damage their car then i doubt they would do this.

I know I tend to position my car to block my opponent but the amount of times im forced off the track is just silly.

I was in STTC1b yesterday round the Kyoto ring and was running side by side with another racer, I was in the inside of the second banking and the other guy was trying to go the long way round but ended up clipping my rear quarter, I ened up in the wall which its self was bad but then I got totalled by the poor guy running behind us.

If this was RL, I would have probably been dead lol.

When this happens to me, I have to quit the game and re-load. It's ok after that.

Some servers have this, the oval junkies for example. Its a good mod and its a good idea for it to be standard.

Quote from MillerM :Hmm you're sort of looking out of the windscreen as usual in a car

Thats how my nan used to drive, her face 2cm away from the windscreen. lol

A Solution could be similar to whats done in real life, if you cut the corner, your under investigation, if your laptime is faster then your penalised, if you made a mistake and went off track, usually you would always be slower. You should be penalised in some way for track cutting

Im 100% a PC Snob, I wont ever buy a £450 PS3.

Consoles should be more like the Wii and leave the serious gaming down to the PC.

I dont know many people from Stevenage who live a Priviledged life lol. I dont think he's far off from you or I, maybe just that his dad was able to direct him before Mclaren took over.

"noobs" means "newbie" right? I just want to make sure. As I have only been racing a little over 1 month, I guess I am a "noob" nobody has ever offered to help me improve my race craft but I had a pretty good idea anyway. I've upset loads of people for having track position and being slow, I did get complimented by one chap who said I was a hard man to pass lol.

I understand im a new driver, I dont mind being called a "noob"

People do that when passing for position, never mind lapping lol.

So far what i've seen i've been very impressed, to Quote Ron Dennis "confidence void of all arrogance", as long as he maintains his confidence and doesnt become arrogant then he will be a world champion as he certainly has a gift. The driver who excited me the most on Sunday was DC, he's been on the road to retirement for some time now but he was driving like a man possesed.

Im just glad the UK has a driver who can win races, as much as we all love JB, I dont think hes ever going to win a championship.

As a layman (ie knows nothing and will gladly admit it lol) cant this be done by simply retracing the cars position on the track? if you already know where a cars been surely you could reposition the car at any point where it was.

Like I said, I dont know anything so please dont flame me lol.

You can avoid "New" drivers most of the time, all you have to do is to wait for them to have their next accident and if your patient and lucky enough your past with minimal fuss, we all get frustated but i guess we shouldnt lose sight of the fact that its only a game and they only thing you gain is bragging rights.

I will try to remember that the next time im cussing because I was just taken out lol.

I only started racing a month ago but have followed motorsport for a long time, when I race, I try to race with etiquette, if I join a race half way trhough, I will wait for a large gap before I join as I dont want to get in the way.

If i'm being lapped I will brake earlier and move off line to allow the car to pass but only when its right one me and its safe to do so.

When im lapping, most times the drivers act the same and will move off line, however i have had the odd occasion when someone who just joined and is maybe 8 laps down tried to out brake you going into a hairpin and ends up taking you both out, this is plain stupidity in my mind.

Racing etiquette goes beyond blue flags and could be a point for discussion for years, I try not to push people as I hate it when im pushed. I had an incident the other day where I was in 4th or 5th and the guy behind who was quicker couldnt get passed because i was holding a racing line and blocking, he was quick but knew nothing about race craft and for 3 laps overshot with impatient attempts to pass and pushing.

He eventually tagged me just at the right point to spin me out, then he had the front to complain that I should let faster cars pass. lol kinda missing the point that I had track position.

Surely there is money to be made here, all you need is a clip on LCD which plugs into a USB port and some code to drive it. If someone builds one, I will buy it lol.
