I like this game so far. I like that whole concept of pickup practice/qualify/race at specific time.
I mean, I know I’ll be getting clean and close racing with other good driver that respect you and won’t pull a kamikaze move on you. And so far I never had less that a race with 12 other racers, which is the maximum in the rookie class I’m currently running in.

I’m struggling to get more than a few racers on anything else than CTRA1 server outside of peak hour in LFS.
You won’t be getting a bozo driving with his KB either. (I still don’t get how people can play LFS with mouse or keyboard; even if they can be pretty fast mind you)

I would suggest anyone who likes LFS to actually give iRacing a try. You will be amazed with the racing physic!! At least I was. Even the solstice is fun to drive!

Yup.. remember that as well. I had a bunch of credits, that was the good time!!!

I just been through something like 1.5 year inactivity period (new girlfriend didn't help either, now that change your habits big time where you were use to being by yourself for a long time).

I gave iRacing a try this week.
Got a 3 month subscription.

But unfortunately, I realized that my good ole Thrustmaster Ferrari steering is getting from bad to worst. It spike a lot when it's near the center and it's getting harder to keep the car on track with all those jerky movement from the spike.

That apart, I really like what I have seen about iRacing so far, even with my bad wheel. Car seems good to drive (at least the Solstice is), LimeRock Park is incredible with all the small bump and cambered corner!!!

Sound of the solstice is really good. deep and throtty.

But I will stop racing until my new wheel come here... don't want to ruin my career with crash where I wouldn't have crash normally!

Another addition that would be cool after doing some more AutoX today.

Implement a starting order. Something that would had newcomer to the bottom but don't change when they D/C.

We usually go by the connection list but it mess up everytime sometime disconnect.

How about I yes to add a Miata in LFS Even if the XRG has similar spec... it is too tail happy and has an hardtop At the worst, give me a XRG without a top and SUPER tire

Another nice touch would be to display the number of cone hit and penalty resulting on the result.

I was playing on an AutoX server doing a REEALLLYY nice SCCA like track.

And what I found would have been good is a shorter lapse of time before the cone goes back in the original spot when hitten. That way.. We could send 2 guys at the same time on the track when the 1st one go halfway through the track. Will make th waiting line be quicker... Just a tought

And a better result board. One that won't only take the best time for any car but for the best time by car or something of that nature.. We found a work around putting the car name in our own LFS name so at least we see the result of the slow car even we beat our pb with a different faster car.

For the first time I noticed sputtering sound (engine damage) on the XRR yesterday driving around AS National.

I usually drive all car with throttle cut on upshift off as it is faster. But for the first time I had to turn it on in order to save the engine on the XRR. I could have lifted while shifting but it tired my right knees a lot.

On all the other car.. flat shifting does almost no noticable damage.


Concerning the red line. I think they should lower the red line / revlimiter to a more reasonable level as it is WAY to high on almost all car now. The engine run out of steam way before the redline as stated before.


PS: for the guys saying there is no fuel cut on modern car. Your avatar is a mustang five-oh, and the limiter IS fuel-cut on that car.. I used to own one for over 5 years and knew a lot about them.

In real life on my car,

I put a couple psi less in the rear tire ( Generally 2 PSI ) in order to keep the rear end planted. Aka: less oversteer.

And I think that this is a known behavior all over real car forum.

I don't why peeps in LFS keep saying the inverse.

The thread is allright direction wise.

It's because your are looking at the right side tire in LFS and left side on my car.

If you take the tire on my car, and pretend that you are flipping it 180 degress to mount on the right side. You will see that the thread is correct.

Those tire doesn't have a left or a right side like other sport tire.. but they do have an inside and outside that need to be respected.

This is why they are not showing the same when mounted on right or left side of car
