Want AA on trees, fences, ... ? (ATI)
SO you have an ATI card and you want AA on alpha textures?

Here you go!

This works on older cards too:

Install Catalys 5.9 drivers. Start regedit and search for "ASTT". You'll probably find "ASTT_DEF" and other entries. Create a "string" entry named "ASTT" and give it a value of "1". Do this for all "directories" where you find "ASTT_DEF".

In order to get the values loaded either reboot or change the AA or AF setting in the drivers panel.

Play Live for Speed with a BIG grin!

So this enables some kinda multisampling instead of the "usual" AA?
OPK this would be supersampling. It's adaptive SS because only areas with transparency are supersampled. Like what the new Geforce cards can do.

Oh yes, screenshot!

Nice

I´ll prolly won´t try it because I am not sure what it is doing but it looks cool.
Framerate-drop? :P
Yes, there is a performance hit but it's playable since not everything get supersampled.

If you use Ati Tray Tool there is a new version which has an option for it.

Also if you have the CCC you can simply set "ASTT_NA" to "0" and you can turn it on via the tray icon.

Try it it's so great it's awesome!
I'm got an nvidia card and I'd like some AA on the mirrors. Any solutions? I'm running 8xFSAA with includes super sampling.
Those instructions dn't work in win2k. The Video 'folder' doesn't exist.

Edit: Nevermind I got it. Though now my AA isn't working AT ALL.

Quote from Bob Smith :I'm got an nvidia card and I'd like some AA on the mirrors. Any solutions? I'm running 8xFSAA with includes super sampling.

I guess this is not possible, because the mirror is a texture, and apparently it's rendered differently.
It has also a very low res, so what about increasing the res and you dont need antialiasing anymore
Hm the screenshoot above didn't convince me, note the fence on the right.

This screenshoot is 7800 AA x8s , AF x16 , no transparency AA.
