Recently it has taken quite a while for most mods to be published, as the reviewers felt they needed to do a reasonably thorough check. But the reviewers are volunteers and it could sometimes be quite daunting to spend a lot of time looking through so many mods.
We have decided to allow mods to be published more easily, with a less thorough examination by reviewers. We will be relying more on the public review system. A mod will need a good amount of support and usually must have been uploaded for a number of days before it can be published. The criteria for publication are flexible and may be changed at any time.
With this faster review system there is a greater chance that a mod from a questionable source may be published by mistake. For example a model from another game, which is not allowed. In such cases we will have to remove the mod after its initial publication. This is both time consuming and upsetting for the reviewers, who are trying to support the community while keeping the mods legal. Mod creators who use a source model must take care to make sure it is legitimate, or they will be wasting everyone's time. People who knowingly or repeatedly upload mods from an illegitimate source may be suspended from uploading mods.
Please visit the Vehicle Mod Reviews forum (S3 licensed only) and give your support to good mods, and consider the legal question carefully.
Thank you!
