Low FPS in 9800 Pro¿?
My problem is the following one: I have amd 64 3000 1,5 FX-51 gb ram ddr, Radeon ATi 9800 Pro 256 DDR. When game with 30 the anisotropic filters 16x and antialising x6 single I have fps, the used resolution is 1024x768x32 bits 85hz. Because single 30 fps?

COre...
Core is 2.0Ghz no 1.5 Ghz ups!
Some suggestions
If you have the display set at "the anisotropic filters 16x and antialising x6" that may be a little strong for that setup. Probably more at the video end than the CPU. If you want to run at high res I would suggest you upgrade the video card. I can highly recommend the NVidia 7900GT which can be purchased on Ebay for a little over $200 which is a steal. You did not mention if your setup is AGP or PCI-E. The 7900 is a PCI-E card. I have everything maxed in display settings with a 7900GT and an AMD 64 4000 at 1360x768 and I rarely drop under 150 fps when on the track alone. Steve P

Thx
aaa, ok thx for the info
I'd recommend 1280x960 with 2XAA and 16XAF. My 9800 Pro could handle that very well, and the image was nice and sharp. I don't really like too much anti-aliasing, it blurs the image too much.
When you disable all AA/AF, do you have normal FPS? (about 100 when alone) There are described situations when LFS runs much slower than usual no matter what HW you have or what graphics setting do you use....

BTW, your R9800 is AGP card, so you cannot upgrade to GF7900 unless there is an AGP version released(which probably wont be released at all). Fastest AGP card today is GF7800GS
I seem to be having the same problem although I have a totaly different set up then he does. With no aa/af I have like 95fps, with a 3800 X2, x1600xt 256 PCI-E, Gig of ram in dual channel. I don't why I would get low FPS in this game with that setup. I am useing the res of 1280x1024x32.
95 fps whan alone? Thats not much.. my little old P4E 3,2GHz can go over 120 fps on AS Nat easily. I think that your problem is that you have dualcore processor. Try to set LFS.exe process affinity just to CPU 0 in taskmanager(rightclick on LFS.exe cand select Set affinity). That might be helpful.
Also make sure you have the latest ATI drivers, there were some problems with older ones.
AMD XP 3200+, 9800 Pro, 1280x960, No AA or AF
I'm getting 60-75 FPS

Just play with the AA and AF settings. If you're on a CRT turn them off and crank up the resolution. That looks better anyway.
