RETRO CUP is back! Omg omg omg

Last time around we were racing in the hot summer, this time we're heading towards Winter time.
Take back your vintage racing suits and gears, it's time to go Retro Racing in the Retro Cup Winter Series!

A multi-class championship with Retro Cars, that will make you feel like a driver in Le Mans in the 70s & the 80's!

5 Events in total, composed by 1 Special Event and 4 Championship events, with the last round awarding Double Points.

No Sign-Ups, open access (even though you gotta show some pace to be able to race)

WHAT HAPPENED LAST EDITION?

The Summer Serie saw Rony Kronpuss taking the crown in the LMP1 category: the RG Veteran managed to resist to the late charge of [MRC] Texas in the last few rounds, and kept the lead by a small margin after what was a dramatic Season Finale in Westhill de La Sarthe.

In LMP2, it was another veteran THR Mazdarati who conquered the title, scoring multiple wins and poles and beating RG^Lorenzo in the Season Finale.

In GT's it was a display of domination by Trespasser, who was one step ahead of the rest of the field in most of the races: in Porsche Cup, it was another dominant effor by the Porsche Whisperer RG^M@ci3k, who took the title two weeks before the championship finale.

WHAT'S NEW THIS SEASON?

This season, there are a couple of newelty factors that will challenge the drivers. Ya right

NEW TRACKS

Out of the 5 tracks we're going to race in, 2 of them are brand new, made for the occasion.
The Green Hell of the Lorenzring awaits as Round 1 of the season, and the new, Ultra-Fast & scary circuit of Berlin, inspired to the AVUS, will be the Season Finale Track.

NEW CARS

New season, new cars and overall balance.
The McLarry will be introduced as an available car in LMP1 alongside the Wessex74sp, wich have been promoted.
A new Hypercar class have been founded with the new Fraud 040 Le Mans, wich sits between a Prototype and a GT in terms of performance.
Than we'll have the GT category, with the usual Fraud060 & Piran Firefly 300.
Than, the Porsche Cup class, an absolute must have!

Are you hooked in?

REGARDING REJOIN
--------------------------------------------------------------------

People who will time out from the server can rejoin, and all the race laps completed will be added back in the final results.
However: you will lose one lap if the rejoin is earlier than 1 minute after completion of last lap.
More generally, if the rejoin is before reaching 1st split, then lap lost,as you cannot gain any advantage from that.

IF YOU CRASH and damage the car and spectate, than come back to the track, your race will be considered as over and you will be disqualified from the final results.

GENERAL RULES
--------------------------------------------------------------------

Spoiler - click to reveal

Rules:
We will not make a mile long rule book that noone will read completely anyway,so we will rely on common sence of competitors to behave and follow the basic Rules of Clean Racing. There will not be an admin in server who will specifically observe drivers' behaviour during the race,so any action will be made only after protest while all retirements will be investigated automatically. If any incidents reported/protested,we will take individual approach to each of them to decide best fair resolution or punishment if needed.

Basic guidelines as a reminder:
> Blue flag - you may not deny/block a passing manouvre of laping car and try a repass right after it. In qualification it means - stay off racing line and don't disturb drivers on hotlap.
> Shortcuts - 2 wheels on track at all times. Track is mostly marked by white lines, while also curbs count towards track. Overtaking outside track limits counts as illegal and will be penalized in case of a protest.
> Contacts - have to be avoided at all costs as always when racing open wheel cars, that includes also bumpdrafting.
> Pit exit - pit exit lines will have to be respected - drivers may not cross the pit exit line with more than 2 wheels and have to make way for cars racing at full speed. Failing to comply with this rule will award them with 10s penalty, while causing incidents will result in bigger penalty. Pit entry lines will not be monitored, they serve just as guidelines.
> Chatting - it's not completely outruled, but still drivers are expected to concentrate on racing. In case of too much chatting while ignoring messages asking to cease chatting,a penalty may be given. In case of any abusive/offensive language a penalty will be given! Any in server present observers/spectators are not allowed to chat at all during race session!
> Lags - if there are any connection issues, driver will be asked to improve (close internet using programs). If driver will be considered as dangerous due to unstable connection and high ping,he will not be allowed to participate at the current round.
> Hacks/cheats - if used, you will not race with us. Ever. As simple as that.

Possible penalties:
> WARNING - any minor infraction that needs to be noted without penalty. Warned driver might receive bigger penalty for other infractions.
> 10s added to finish time - minor infractions, like illegal passing, pit exit line violation, too much chatting.
> 30s added to finish time - medium infractions, like causing avoidable incident[s] without serious consequences, illegal passing.
> 60s added to finish time (1 lap penalty in rounds 2 and 3) - medium infractions, like causing avoidable incident[s] with consequences to other drivers (like damage, multiple position loss) or unsportsmanlike behaviour.
> Disqualification for 1 or more rounds - heavy infractions, multiple incidents, unsportsmanlike behaviour. After serving disqualification, driver will automatically carry a "warning" for the rest of season.
> Series exclusion (including ban for any other events run under Race Green Events control) - serious infractions like intentional/revenge wrecking, event sabotage and any other malicious act.

THR Mazdarati WINS the Retro CUP Winter Series Pre-Season Race! Thumbs up

It was a spectacular first stint of the race, with the McLarrys and the Wessex drivers going head to head for the top positions.
While Rony led the first few laps of the race, [MRC] Zesty took control of the operations soon after and looked like he was able to control the race, with multiple fastest laps, but in the end he ran into tyre problems before the Pit-Stop, losing the lead.

THR Mazdarati used all of his experience to mantain a consistent pace and disappear into the distance when it mattered.
B2マ TwinCam finshes the race in P3 to complete the Prototype class podium.

ZFRL Thehemuli was the only survivor of the Hypercar class, he kept it clean till the end.
Jam 616 tops the GT class and RG^M@ci3K is the Porsche hero of the day.

NEXT MONDAY things gets serious with the First Official Round of the Season on the Green hell of the Lorenzring.

See you there, Retro Drivers! Thumbs up
