ACT Labs back in business.
Quote from Email from ACT :This is not a spam.

Your have joined a survey held by ACT LABS and you asked us to inform
you when we are ready to bring back the RS racing gear

This might be a bit late than that we wish, but here we are.

We found that Advantage 1 GT pedals would be the best to work with ACT
LABS RS system, this is made in Australia by Simracers for Simracers,
however, the shipping cost and import duty/brokerage would be
prohibitive by individual customer in US or Canada, therefore we are going to
ship them from our Vancouver office. (all are completely built in
Australia).

Please note we will normally only keep a few pedals for each model so
pre-order will be highly recommended, your credit card will not be
charged until we are ready to ship.

Just got this a few minutes ago. Yahooo!

(Thisis my first post?!)
I`m close to buying those pedals. Just the distance and the shipping costs eventually scares me.

Damn it is a nice set of pedals.
Thankfully Vancouver is close to me. Too bad they caught me at a bad time, but hopefully money will be on my side and they have stock too.

I bought them from a member of these, or another LFS forum. Screws were all stripped out which causes the brake pedal to flex too much. Other than that they're a very nice set.

I enjoyed them for the few days I could stand the brake pedal. Now I'm using my mouse and KB.
Looks like they just found about Logitech's G25 and scared?
That email looks so poorly written, and the link not being ready is funny - they don't seem very professional and i'd be loathed to give them my card details. The whole thing sounds like two kids in a bedroom.
Except its not, its Act-Labs, Many people have ordered their 2006 GPL shifter from them. Their warehouse is (IIRC) In Richmond, B.C. Canada.

Exactly.
Edit: Just remebered a similar occasion, when I got an e-mail saying MSN Messenger has only got X amount of accounts left blah blah... illepall and a lot of people took it seriously and gone mad .
If you want further proof, find the RSC forums, there are many people there who have bought stuff from Act-Labs.
Wow that is some nice gear.
And no I don't mean I like the gear stick I was saying I like it all.
I expect a professional organisation to contain somewhere in it's midst somebody who can write in English at a standard at least equalling a late-teen, and not getting tense muddled up in the first paragraph. I also would not expect a professional outfit giving me a link they know doesn't work when they want my money.

To me it just looks like they got the work experience kid from Quebec to write their English sales promotion.

Then to openly state they're only carrying a few units suggests the only warehouse space they've got is between the Star Wars toys and the Lego set.
Ah but what if theres alot of space between the star wars toys and lego sets.

You haven't seen the warehouse you don't know.

Logitech and pedals ??????
You should pray, when you lay down the payment and hope they will work. Logitech pedals stinks and they have to prove that they have learned from their faults.

I had to return my brandnew DFP and I now have problems with my MOMO i got instead of the DFP.(Both pedal problems)

Have you even seen pics of Logitech G25? I do pray but at least the new pedals can't be worse than before. Of course ECCI & other pro pedals will always be better but those are in a different price class.
lol when i bought my act labs pedals and shifter i was happy but even though the pedals are made of good quility the sensors in them screwed up after 3 months and my DFP pedels still going strong after 2 years and the shifter has broken 6 times so far had to fix it and adjust it so many times i cant count :S still wouldent play lfs without it
My Concept, G25 + Advantage 1 Pedals.
As a early buyer of these pedals, I cannot recommend them enough.

Accurate, strong and reliable.
I juuuuust might order one of those. My DFP pedals are saying good bye soon, and they generally suck even when they work so ....

But over 2000kr? whoa

im from australia, can i order them directly?

whats the website?
You can order directly from their website, act-labs.com, they'll ship worldwide. I just got the GPL shifter from them a couple of weeks ago.

oh ok, thanks
Oh yea if you're after the pedals you'd probably want to get them from advantage1.com.au, shipping would be less

Why would you replace the G25's pedals?
