well, I would say from my perspective, it might be not, because multi-threading process would spread the process on multi thread your CPU has, imagine doing heavy 3D rendering task with only single core instead multi core, but I can only do hope it wouldn't hit performance much (if 1000hz multi-threading really hit performance) compared to recent version of LFS today (7E), since LFS so far the most efficient program (or game) that could even run on very potato PCs
