OMG! How Did They Get That!
I was racing this morning on a server and I was racing with a skin I licensed (Not on LFS) and I had not uploaded the skin to LFS World and I was the only one who had it.

Apparently not, as another racer I had never met before had the same skin as me.

I knew because it had the words
F1FOX Racing team on it and I was the only one in F1FOX so far.

HOW DID THEY GET IT????
I WANT TO KNOW!

have you edited one of the default skins, because then, if another car uses a default skin, its shown as yours!!!

When i begun LFS i edited on of my skins in my skinsx folder and i wondered why everyone had stolen my crappy ALDI -skin!!
He will have pulled it from his skin_x folder. This is where LFS stores all the skins of the racers you have raced against on-line. It has to do this so your copy of the game can display peoples cars properly.

Contact him and ask him not to use it. If he refuses then it's pretty much tough titty I'm afraid.
Maybe write the driver, who used the skin, a pm here in the forum and on LFSWorld.

Chances, that he sees it, are higher than with writing a thread here IMO.
Or maybe we uses the same name for his skin as you use for yours and as a result he thinks you are using his skin to?

I guess Nobo had the right answer...

But they wouldnt look similar then.

No, ToxicKlay's skin would look like the skin of the other guy, and the other guy's skin would look like ToxicKlay's.
Yes they would. If you modify the XXX_DEFAULT skin on your hard drive, and somebody else uses it (which is likely for new players and blank skins), then LFS will see that you already have the XXX_DEFAULT skin on your HD and not download it, afaik. The other car will then have your supersecret personal skin, too.
Quote from zeugnimod :But they wouldnt look similar then.

They would... For each individual it would look like that person's skin...
So if I named my skin the same as yours, my skin would show up as yours on your PC and yours would show up as mine on mine.
Oh, ok, didnt know that.

My god, it's like a David Lynch movie.

Man, I'd almost forgotten about that place. 60 cents for a box of cereal--SWEET! :munching_

Their cheese selection, however... :vomit:

aldi cheese is nice.

edit: sorry for spamming, couldnt resist it.
Almost certainly just a naming coincidence. If you've given the skin a name yourself (not just renamed a default skin), try to upload it to LFSW, and if you cannot someone has already taken that name.

When I was twelve my parents decided that we should hire a little motor caravan and go on a holiday somewhere, so we did. On the way it was quite hot, but the fridge hadn't fully cooled down, so the drinks weren't cold.
In an effort to satisfy our thirst we stopped at a little town to get something, and the first thing we found was a Lidl.

Now, my family are fairly good at pre-judging things, and both my Dad and I turned our noses up at the thought of this pikey-shop, but my Mother has no such qualms, and off she went.

5 minutes later she returned with a carton of Lidl own-brand orange juice which was nice and cold...

...unfortunately it was the most vile and toxic 'juice' ever to be sold for public consumption.

The moral of the story - by all means shop in cheap shops, but for God's sake (and that of your internal organs) don't buy their own-brand products!!
Aldi are quite good for german food, bratwursts and the like but anything else.....
If you buy the right things at Lidl you can get really good food for next to nothing. The chocolates and biscuits are wonderful, and all foreign, and cheaper than buying presents abroad to bring back Their cheese selection is very variable and the special offers can be amazing or very rubbish. Worst mistake you can make though is to buy any own brand stuff, or any everyday supermarket item.

Lidl are good for fruit/veg and for meat, and as said above, the chocolates are wonderful.
I know what I did wrong.
