This was sort of back to basics race - the popular peoples car of LFS raced in the longest track in the infield of Rockingham. XFG is the most attended car between all LFS original cars and between all cars that have been used more than twice - with all time average of 23.8 drivers per race over 16 races and the 17th race is the highest number for all cars. Having attendance of 36 drivers per race in last 3 races this race was rather a small step backwards, but still the 30 drivers racing this week produced plenty of action, overstraining broadcasters with decisions where to look.
With absence of winners from latest 29 races, someone else had to step in,however the guy who did it wasn't exactly a newbie - A.Valta has already 6 RTFR wins under his belt,2 of those in recent 2 years. The finn was the fastest in qualifying, scoring his 8th pole position, but found competition early in the other front row starter, who in his RTFR debuth led 6 laps, however an unfortunate contact sent him out of track and the way for 7th RTFR race win was clear for A.Valta, who on final lap also set the fastest lap of the race, scoring his 8th of those and also 22nd top5 finish. P.Koivunen repeated his best RTFR finish by finishing 2nd this week, scoring his 8th top5 finish 1 race before his anniversary 50th RTFR race. The fully finnish podium was completed by Thehemuli in 3rd position, who scored his 4th top5 finish in row and 14th in total. L.Rydh was the only non-finn in the top5 this week, but as a swede he kept this very regional - he scored his best ever results in RTFR,8th place in qualifying and 4th place in race are 7 positions better than previous best results in each session. Top5 was closed by True Alpha, who repeated the same result as in his previous race here 4 months ago and scored his 26th top5 finish.
