InSim Host
Hello, is there any website where I can host an insim for the server?

I hired the server host but it doesn't contain the option to host the insim on the server and it doesn't work for me...
I still have a copy off airio free but it comes with bugs.

Think there also on this forum newer still supported insims.

Thanks, but what I'm looking for is where I can set up an insim so that it's online 24/7 on my server.

You'd need to rent a VPS somewhere (Vultr as an example of a provider) and run it there.

This is sad cause, we could do this without having to rent a 3rd party host. I believe many did only with their dedicated servers... I have my own host running but cant host any insim on it without recurring to host it somewhere else.

or having my pc 24/7 ofc

It's no different than before.

With old dedicated servers, you still needed your own server to run the DediHost + InSim, even if that meant hosting both on your PC.

The only difference now is that the DediHost is hosted by LFS but you still need your own server (or still on home PC) for InSim.

Theoretically, LFS could containerize InSim apps and run them on their own infrastructure but that's a pretty large feature to implement with plenty of security/abuse concerns. It probably still wouldn't absolve people of needing their own server for things like databases if they're storing anything associated with the InSim's operation.
I just bough a cheap mini PC and connected it to my router, accessing it for configurations via AnyDesk - best option I could find. The dynamic IP was also not a problem as LFS hosting allows to set a range in the access control.
I used to rent a VPS for years from ovh, but due to an insane rise in payments i gave that up and built my own server at home. Hosting from home is by far the best option.

With a quick search i was able to find a $2/mo VPS at ionos, I've used them before and they're quite reliable.

Though personally its nice not having to worry about ever having to rent a server again.
AWS and Oracle Cloud offer free tiers which are capable enough for running an InSim app. Though it needs to be Linux-compatible Smile
