Maybe someone already brought this up, but.

Why are there no BF1 and FBM in MHR rank?.

It seems rare that one of the most popular cars in the game doesnt have a place in there (FBM)

And BF1 is mostlikely the highest category in lfs (f1) so it would be crazy to see what laptimes could be accomplished if they were able in the rankings (as many might know MHR rank combos are very optimized)

The reason is maybe that BF1 and FBM were added relatively late, when the ranking combos were already established.

In some way it is nice that it stays comparable over such a long time.

Somehow I have always thought it is because they are real, officially licensed cars and there was a reason related to that.

Some sort of 'If BMW pulls out, at least the MHR is not affected' logic

what is not being discussed is what track could go with them?

id always imagine AS5/AS4 to BF1

but i have no idea of what could FBM be, maybe making it bl2 wouldnt make a difference, so i wonder what combo could it be, maybe rockingham?

This was the reason I have always assumed.

I think it would be nice to have all the cars there, also could be fun to maybe consider refreshing the tracks at whatever point the new update comes as a lot of current hotlaps (or all?) would be deleted anyway? Maybe a demo combo for one of the demo cars?
