a friend of mine on demo licence was browsing demo servers and told me 2 check this out....um WHAT THE and it worked i went in to it hmmm

yeah some punks are not paying their way but apperently their servers are so laggy it's undriveable!

I think it's possible to enable all cars in the demo, but of course, you can't actually drive them... People were doing that in the S2 Demo (around Easter) just because they could...

Yes this is the 2nd time. You most definitely can drive the S2 cars on that host, but it isn't playable. The devs are aware of the situation. Thanks for reporting.

Looks like the "content protection" of the tracks is somewhat passive right now, like the demo server shouldn't be able to select that track, so the clients will never load it. But if the server IS able to select that track, however that works, then the demo clients will load them too. A quick fix for the next patch would probably be to simply refuse loading non-demo content, no matter what the server wants.

Another thing to mention is that the server is unplayable. The person in question probably has a program running in the background, telling the master server he is demo while he really hosts an S2 server. Too bad that program is eating all his CPU ressources

yeah you cant drive s2 cars but how ever if you already had one in a previous server for example i was in mrt in idd server then went to that server and was driving the mrt and the host was driving a FXR

You can drive the S2 cars. I did several laps in an XRR and an FZR the other day. The lag seems to be all on the server side. Absolutely useless for racing. You are lucky to complete half a lap without crashing, that's how laggy it is.

Master server doesn't allow this any more, so you shouldn't see that hack again.
