RIP, my momo force
After four years of hard work under my wrist, and endless maintainence here and there, my momo force finally met its fatal accident.......

the main column is snapped in half and broke into debris, it should be impossible to recover it to it's original state.

I would keep the internals and the pedals, to see if anyone can rebuild a new wheel around it's base.

for now, R.I.P., thanks for being so wonderfully weighted and responsive.

Honestly I am a real skinny guy so no way I would pack more muscle than any average man!

it happened when I was on fern bay black, turning the tightest hairpin, and at the apex I suddenly lost steer and come that horrific noise of stuff breaking loose inside the wheel. I thought the motor was loose, but it turns out much worse.

I think maybe there are internal cracks on the column for some time, since the wheel is quite old and the plastic will have weathered quite a bit.
But, if there is not anything else broken than the black plastic thing where you attach the actual steering wheel (sorry for the lack of words here), and you could get a hold on to another one, it´s not really a big deal to change. I´ve done it once myself, and I know as much about electronics as the pig knows ´bout satellites.

But then that would ruin your excuse to get the G25

Edit: yep, it definetly looks like theres only that black plastic thing broken.

I've decided to put the wheel in a wooden frame and make it a decoration.

it's not easy to find a spare hub cos the red momo is really a rare piece of hardware, especially in Hong Kong, when I got this it's second handed and I did fix it several times before for numerious reasons (loose motor, misfit gears etc).

dunno what to do with the pedals still, they are perfect and so beautiful.
