As the physics get overhauled, you probably will not find them as usefull as they are now.
But then again, I drive for 3 weeks now, and have yet to discover the right setup for my XRT on BWGP...
BTW, Bob Smith, any chance to update your really helpfull advanced setup guide? Also for people like me, it would be nice, which direction on the slider would do what.
And I would really dig some FAQ-like type of tips, IE:
Q: Help me, Mighty Bob! My car oversteers in the middle of the corner!
A: It is easy, unworthy! Stiffen up the stabs, and thee shall not revolve in corners, be them blunt or sharp!
EDIT: Sorry for "hijacking" the thread... but I do it anyways :P
I think the full S2 will require a fresh install, so i don't think in-game settings will be transferred, unless they're in an easily backup up file you can put back after installing S2 Final....
As for car setups, I don't think that system will receive any major overhaul for the final release so you should be able to just copy your old setup files to the new installation I think...
There will be changes in the physics, but I think setups will be still kind of valid.
Coleus: Wich direction does what? I think that is clear in the guide... If it says stiffen the back suspension, it means you have to put a bigger number in the slider, and so on..
Yeah, that one's a no-brainer I figured the sliders out by now, but I was confused quite a lot in the beginning, especially with the steering settings...
But lets stop this discussion here, and get back to topic
To complete my above post:
It took three weeks for me (allthough only 1 or 2 hours every two days...) to get my setup a little better than the standard one (while also improving my driving style greatly, which made previous good setups obsolete).
I would hate to get through all this again So I would like the setups to be compatible.
As far as I know, the physics will be updated as well as tyre Physics. Now bearing that in mind, your setups will need to change also to work with the new physics models.
But, I am no beta tester either, I only go on by what I read here.
