Hi there.
Woe is me
Here's what I've tried so far in trying to create a DEMO server (not a dedicated one, but one which I create when I play):
I'm running Windows XP SP2 and my host machine is running LFS with an S2 licence..
I've read the guide (thanks, the_angry_angel).
Out of sheer despiration I've completely disabled Windows Fire Wall to eliminate any possibility that the problem is there.
I've configured my router to open ports 63392 and 29339 on both TCP and UDP.
I've tried the IP address at start up as both 'auto' and by inserting my host machine's IP address ...
and I still can't seem to get my host to appear on the master server list.
I've tried to find it using another PC running LFS Demo software. This machine is on the same router as the host machine (but obviously it has a different IP address). This shouldn't be a problem should it? It should still be able to see my other host machine's listing even though the two machines are sharing the same router and ISP, shouldn't it? I hope this isn't the problem 'cos I don't know any other way to check if my host is listed.
Does anyone have any advice and/or suggestions?
Cheers.
