Breaks
can anyone tell me what a good break setup is good for a realy fast tuned car. A person sent me the settings for his car and told me to set up the breaks myself. So please if anyone knows let me know
First, what car?

Second, just copy some of the brake settings from a few setups off of -- http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu/

Third, the person probably told you to adjust the brakes because he/she was using keyboard or mouse. And those users will often say this because their brake settings might be different in terms of power so they do not lock their wheels. If you are using a wheel, then it is different, but not that different.

breaks = brakes (blah third time I've seen this misspelled this week)
if you dont lock up at any point on your chosen track/car (brake help off of course) then you could apply more brake strenth until somthing locks, forces view with replays is good for testing, once a wheel/wheels start to lock under full brake you can use the front rear balance slider to achieve maximum brake effectivness and then back off the strenth until it feels right for you.
Even with the same controller some people prefer different brake setups for different reasons.

People often have completely different brake bias and thus, different brake strenghts... Someone likes to trailbrake wide into the corner (as in complete opposite of the "advice" in the post before), and somebody else wants to finish his braking before turning... It also depends on how quick you shift down... So, even if we'd know what car you're talking about, there is no way we could help you finding your brake setup, because it's completely up to your driving style...

Also bear in mind that in a downforced car, you can use stronger brakes at higher speed, because the added load on the tire helps keeping it rolling (not locking up) and that you have to ease off the brakes with your speed (and thus downforce) decreasing...
Setups in general are a very personal thing, but brakes in particular are the most personal. Like bbman said, some like to trail brake, some like to stab them and get max brakes before turning. It is also different for different controller configs. I have the squashball mod on my Momo. I've recently increased all my braking forces by around 100-1500 Nm. I'm using anywhere from 2500-3000 Nm in the FZR (normal from other sets I've seen are usually 1400-1800). I do believe this is an extreme amount of force compared to the majority of users. The squashball allows me to use my brake pedal more like a pressure sensitive pedal where I'm only using maybe 25% of the pedal throw. You try my brakes with slamming your pedal to the floor as I think most do and you'll never get them to stop locking up.

ROFL, I had thought about responding like that, hehe. Noon is break time. I set up my own breaks, but the majority here, beings a production plant, get relieved off their equipment for a break. Occasionally, I don't get any breaks and eat at my equipment.
